so according to the daily fail there has been some research into the increase in throat cancers and one reason is oral sex!
Higher chance of catching HPV which can clead to cancerous cells.
So i think I will stick to Aural sex instead. |

"This isn't new news, i remember Michael Douglas made a big thing of it years ago when he had throat cancer blaming it on oral sex
T x"
That was just him showing off to the world that he’d spent a decent amount of time with his tongue round Catherine’s vajaja |

Just read the scientist piece in the conversation. Worth noting that Prof Mehanna the author states there is "indirect evidence that it (the hpv vaccine) may also be effective in preventing HPV infection in the mouth".
So it's not guaranteed your protected if you get the HPV vaccine for cervical cancer protection.

I’ve bitten a hole in her tights.
Her nipples are bullets as they point at the ceiling now I’ve popped them out of her bra.
My arms hold her thighs firmly, keeping her legs wide open for me, my nose feels the tickle of trimmed bush, the scent of her cunt fills me. I’m throbbing to impale her but there’s teasing to be done first.
I lick up each side of her, she writhes, trying to get my tongue onto her clit. She swears at me and begs me to do it, to tongue her, to fuck her.
That’s when I’m supposed to think about an article in The Lancet? |

"Spread the fear mate
Well done "
Sorry but how is it spreading fear? More awareness means more people may choose to get the HPV vaccine, which has indirect evidence that it is protective, which is good no? The vaccine is protective against over 90% of cervical cancers and 90% of genital warts, so greater uptake in this community would be beneficial to us all wouldn't it? |

Yes, I remember that.
I'm glad younger generations are given the chance to protect themselves from HPV |

"Michael douglas blamed this for his cancer although he also smoked like a chimney. "
I imagine that cancer risks (given their origins in mutations) are not isolated from one another - both could exacerbate each other. |

If you are worrying about the 0.00001% chance of catching either of these, you probably have too much time on your hands, and you can reduce the risk further by avoiding people with alcohol and drug issues and poor hygiene. So best to avoid 99% of people on this site! |

Some people are more or less at risk of certain things, and it's worth being aware of what puts you at higher risk.
I'm not sure why this is troubling to some people. |

If we judged the forums based on scientific and medical standards of evidence we'd all be out on our arses. |

Nice stats there, not sure of the source. But according to cancer research UK 25% of mouth and oropharyngeal cancer's are caused by HPV. Smoking causes 25% also. If someone smoked you'd tell them it was a risk wouldn't you? And maybe stopping smoking would lower the risk? How is saying oral sex carries a risk of catching the HPV virus so having a jab may lower risk? |

Alcohol and drug use has beggar all to do with HPV infection. HPV is an incredibly common, usually asymptomatic infection in people. You could catch it on your first sexual experience and then you're probably stuck with it for life. Nowt whatsoever to do the hygiene, drugs or alcohol. |

They are probably worried about taking an unwelcome present home with them! |

I think that some people see risk like Mummy playing peekaboo - if I can't see it, it's not there.
Personally, I'd rather know so I can make reasonable choices about what risks I do and don't want to take. But maybe that makes me odd. |

HPV virus is an interesting one. Linked to throat and anal cancers in men that sleep with men.
However women are tested routinely every 3 years when they have their smear. If a smear test produces a positive result they are then tested yearly. It's said to take about 2 years for your body to clear it. Sometimes longer. I was told that you can catch the HPV virus at any I time in your life and it can remain dormant for years on end and then randomly activate. So if that is true then there is no way to pin point where it came from. Of course if anyone needs to correct me on that please do.
Now as it doesn't affect men in the same way it does women they aren't routinely tested yet can still pass it on.
It has no symptoms in either men or women. You would not know you had it.
Given smears are three years apart and the virus can emerge and then disappear in less than that, it's completely possible to have had it and never even know yourself.
Again anyone correct me if I have this wrong.
A big reason to stay protected when it comes to sex. |

I tested positive for it on one smear test. Funnily enough it was the same smear test that picked up the first round of cin 3 cells. Six months later I tested negative for hpv but again had cin 3. All further tests were negative for hpv |
