Does porn affect sexual performance?

Listened to a podcast where a guy was talking about his porn addiction, not being able to get it up in reality due to it not being porn like fantasy, etc etc.
Anyone come close to this or experienced anything similar?
I definitely had a porn phase in my early 20s where I watched porn SO much and it wouldn't even make me feel good watching it, it was like needing a hit. Now I actually don't watch much at all, but either way I don't remember it ever affecting sexual performance.
But what about you fabbers? |

Of all people the US navy did research into under 26yo who are in increasing numbers having erection problems or ED and they concluded that the under 26yo had/were watching so much porn that in reality/the RW without porn style stimulants they literally couldn't get an erection
Also because what they expected from actual sex wasn't matching up with their 'date's' expectations again they were failing to get an erection

I don't watch porn anymore,I think "that's somebody's daughter",I would be devastated if my daughter was in one,what would you people do if you found out your daughter was doing porn? |

Yeah this. I don't shame porn stars at all and from what I've seen in interviews most are really cool. As long as they are consciously consenting and enjoy it, so be it |

As long as its done safely who is anyone to judge.
But then there are plenty of guys on Fab who have said they'd never swing with a partner they got together with whether on or off Fab.......so.....

I still watch a bit, not gonna pretend otherwise, but at the same time it's nowhere near as much as before. I have also considered the OPs question and there is a distinct period in my 20s where I can recall it being the case with my then wife. I didn't have a problem getting it up, but going through the motions.
I cut out the porn and we were at it every night after a week or so. |

I think I have completed every hub.com there is!
When it comes to an erection in the real world that's different. Just the touch and taste of a woman is enough to get me hard. Porn becomes a distant memory and the moment takes over.
Surely it's a question of mental state. If your still thinking about streaming porn when there is a naked woman in front of you then I say stay at home next time! |

I met someone recently, couldn't perform, he said it was a 50/50 chance of him getting hard due to too much porn/masturbation from an early age (he's now 30) said he only masturbates twice a week now. So yes, it has a massive effect on some people. |

I have a friend (I promise) who buys like a Viagra online that is low dose and doesn't need prescription and it sorts him out.
Everyone is now gonna think that's me and that's a risk I guess I had to take |
