Profile, profile, profile.
It doesn't matter how good your message is to someone, they will always check out your profile before even thinking of opening it.
They'll be wanting to know what you're looking for and what you have to offer - and of course, they need to be attracted to you.
If they're unimpressed, they'll simply delete and move on.
You need to ask yourself if your profile is the best it can possibly be.
If you think it is, then carry on doing what you're doing and continue to enjoy your current level of success.
You get out what you put in.

Ah, ok. Still guess it takes time to re-establish yourself, unless you're still in touch with people from last time.
I never have any advice other than: "don't be a dick", but that always sounds like I'm taking the piss when I'm not. Just be yourself*.
*Unless you're a dick, in which case, be someone else. Sorry, this last bit is me taking the piss. |

Ah, ok. Still guess it takes time to re-establish yourself, unless you're still in touch with people from last time.
