I don't find the app useful.
I guess it is if you want the stuff they are giving away.
My friend got a bag of aldi groceries so I thought i'd give it a go but everything seems to go in the dead of night ( my suspicion is it's the staff who get the stuff )
Other than that it's bags of stuff from cake shops or the pound bakery or the nisa that is 20 miles away ...
So ... the app is not for me.

I found the same when I tried it, nothing near me also would get alerts only to find the deal had gone...ended up deleting it. |

I've got the app but not actually done it yet.
There's also another called karma and one called olio.
One is for neighbours giving food away. Like if they go on holiday and need to clear stuff etc. Or so you can.
Not tried any of them out yet

I've had it on my phone and would like to try it. Feeding all my kids is getting more and more ££. Nothing I've seen so far that's walkable and available but will keep looking.
