My nan’s spare room.

How do you get your washing dry.

Now the weather has improved, do you have a washing line, a rotary airer, put the maiden outside, do you hang your undies out?

I get very excited about hanging my washing outside. Feels like I'm properly functioning as an adult if I manage that before work and put it all away after!

Usually though I put it on radiators or in the drier.

If not excited I was damn pleased to get a set of bedding washed dried and put away in an afternoon instead of filling the radiators for 3 days

Tumble dryer or air dry if it can't go in there. I love the smell of bedding when they've dried outside but I don't really like the feeling of them.

Drying clothes outside if possible is always best. Otherwise tumble dryer for some items and rest on the rack and in utility.

Outside on the washing line if at all possible. The weather here means that's impossible for about half the year unless you're standing at the kitchen window ready to run out and rescue your washing when it rains.

I have an airer I stand in a sunny window. Towels and my duvet cover get tumble-dried, but everything else goes on the airer.

I'm in a second floor flat so don't have any outside space, but I also can't stand the smell of washing dried outdoors so indoor drying would always be my preference.

I use a washing line for most stuff except underwear and my son's tops, in case the sun shrinks them

I don't have a tumble dryer and use clothes airers and coat hangers, so my house frequently looks like a laundry.

I prefer them on the outside line that also includes knickers and bras for those gardens that are enclosed.

for an open garden the ladies underwear usually ends up airing out on air dryers theres always a knicker thief around

same with those tights as well

but mens are usually shoved outside on the line why the ladies do it and not with there own ( i dont get )

I hang outside if warm enough and then air it over the bannisters

If its cold my treat is to do the washing and then I have an excuse to put the heating on

"I’m might actually offer blow jobs at my local laundrette in exchange for using tumble dryers. I mean they already washed their clothes in Fairy so it’s not a big leap. "

Stand outside with a begging bowl "20p for the dryer, Guv?"

It's a good question but no, not on the cold 'air dry' setting.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

Clothes horse in the kitchen. I don't have a washing line, but on a fine day I stand the clothes horse outside in the courtyard.
