So as a rarity I'm sat at home watching "This Morning".
Some fruit loop of a woman is actually getting airtime because she claims she can see angels.
Under the assumption that you're all sensible, forward thinking and reasonable folk on here, why the hell does this utter moronic stuff get shown on tv? |

I think exactly the same way about any religion... there is as much evidence for god as there is for angels yet supposed educated people are still falling for this scam! |

You watched This Morning and expected actual news or any sort of cerebral content? You know that's ITV right?
Sheesh!

Absolutely how we feel.
Annoys me that the schools curriculum still wastes time on it. |

"If it helps people get on with their lives then where is the harm? "
I'm not concerned with what other people do as long as they keep it to themselves. It's when they try to shove it down other peoples throats and attempt to take a higher moral ground than the rest of us mere mortals that I really get annoyed. |

Because some people find the differences in how we think and what we believe in.... to be the whole beauty of being human, but I see you've already JUDGED them as morons?? |

hmmm. so, she believes in angels. I believe there actually might be some women out there who'd arrange a meet with me. I think she's the deluded one - but I'm not 100% sure.... |

you could say the same about religious programs
Its all a matter of belief, some believe in ghosts, some god, some aliens some angels
They have as much rights to air their beliefs as anyone, no matter now nutty they are to you and me |

Belief is personal. Belief shared (as in religion) is like a fan club for a comic book character, only it's mostly for people who want to atone before they die because they've been made to believe in Hell! |

I agree anyone can believe in whatever they like but when it comes to interfere with other peoples lives it wrong. For example the recent proposed change in the law re gay marriage. If two people love each other they should be allowed to marry yet the so called preachers of tolerance (Christians) will not allow it in their place of worship! Who are the tolerant ones now! The sooner all religion is banned from having any input into state legislation the better, its all bunkum. |

"Like parents being nice to their grandkids to make up for the fact they were feckin orrible to their own kids hahaa"
I think that's pretty acurate, people belive blindly(meaning without much thought if any at all), to atone in some way for the wrong doings they won't accept full reponsability for!! |

More, actually. The BBC has an obligation to produce a certain number of hours of religious broadcasting per week (Daily Service, Songs of Praise etc) but no obligation to those of no belief. |

Yet at the same time, the woman fired from the airline for refusing to take off the crucifix from around her neck. She has a right to that. The laws in this country are so conflicted and sometimes outright stupid. Everybody has a right to pitch their beliefs too, even the BNP unfortunately. But when common sense prevails in the public, they are just shot back down again! |
