...and in the lookout for those lovely little bijou shops that usually cluster together in some little 'arty' bit of a city.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Birmingham

Head up to Piccadilly gardens ( the place with all yhe fountains) from where you are. Do a left and you're in the northern quarter. You'll see an overhead walkway going from my old building to a car park. Afflect palace is just in the corner there. The northern quarters good for cool little places. Good luck x

Oh bloody wonderful and I'm the proud owner of a funky, chunky pair of red shoes.

I've also just had my lunch in a real old cafe of dubious cleanliness in the same quarter. Freshly cooked, boiling hot and delicious, like my men

Thanks for the tip.

Your stay safe Fornix, I'll pop over to Manchester right quick and save you by bringing you to the lovely, safe city of Liverpool complete with loads of little shops for you....

The tell-tale sign for knowing you're in the northern quarter is the street name signs - they're in some kind of arty font, not like the boring normal ones...

Spotted. I'm getting a few odd looks as I'm constantly looking up at the architecture of the city and so far I'm loving it.
