"I wish! I am a bit cinderella, turn into a pumpkin after Midnight! "
Midnight is my cut off for being in bed, but I'm often still awake at 1am, or 1.30am |

I generally pretend to be asleep and hope it fools my brain into shutting up, or get up for a bit have a drink & browse FAB then try again.

"Midnight is probably favourite for me...
... Are you asleep aa soon as your head hits the pillow? "
If I've stuck to my bedtime routine then it doesn't take too long. But I sleep fitfully and wake a few times in the night and then usually doze off again. Not being able to fall asleep is not great though. |

Usually I'm too tired to walk upstairs so I end up staying awake longer purely out of laziness. |

I hate going to bed. I have bad hips and shoulder and the pain I'm in getting into bed. I have a guard on my bed to help me in and out. Then when I'm in I can't change positions so have to stay in the same position. Then I can't sleep and lie awake for hours then I have all the agony of getting out to the loo. Then I might drift of for a little while but don't stay asleep long. Sometimes I drift of about 7 in the morning and manage to sleep through the morning. Then I have to go through all the process of getting out again.
I am in the process of having my sleeping tablets changed so that might help with the sleep |

I go to bed about 10, listen to comedy on BBC Sounds for 30 or 45 minutes then turn off the light and am asleep almost instantaneously.
I haven’t used an alarm in 30 years - one of the advantages of being self employed.
If I have to get up early I wake up at the right time. |

Bed at 11

*sometimes wank later
Wow! That is incredible
I didn’t used to, I used to wake up and be awake during the night
What changed?? "
Lots of things.
Magnesium and vitamin D, using sleep meditations to get myself into good habits, all the messy deep inner work that unpacks a lot of shit, making my bedroom a comfy and beautiful sanctuary, can’t remember what else. |

"I go to bed about 10, listen to comedy on BBC Sounds for 30 or 45 minutes then turn off the light and am asleep almost instantaneously.
I haven’t used an alarm in 30 years - one of the advantages of being self employed.
If I have to get up early I wake up at the right time. "
That sounds amazing.. I knew someone who didn't set an alarm, but he didn't need to be at work until around 10-11am each day |

Oh you are a bit like me... Can still be up at 1.30/2am...with a 6am work alarm

I’m usually in bed by around 11pm but I don’t actually fall asleep until 1/2am. I’m a rubbish sleeper, up and down all night then I eventually fall into a deep sleep and my alarm goes off or one of the kids will come through. |

".. What is your cut off.. Do you go to sleep as soon as you hit the sheets?? "
I wish.
Suffered with insomnia for about 30 years. Can take me ages to get to sleep, if I'm lucky.
It's not unheard of for me to still be awake at 5 or 6 in the morning, by which time I'm incredibly tired but have to f8ght the need to sleep. |

I also started inulin recently, it can help reduce internal visceral fat, and improve gut health, but can also help sleep apparently.
Oh, and very important, take good probiotics, it is crucial for gut health, which then benefits mental health. |

7am but 9 times out of 10 I’m usually woken up before then . I’m kind of used to it now though so I don’t really feel tired much during the day. |

I just think I only need about 5-6 hours sleep lovely. I tend to function a lot better when I have that amount. Too much and I’m just really lethargic |

I used to have really bad sleep hygiene. I don't watch TV in bed, for a while, if I couldn't fall asleep within in 30 minutes I'd get up until I felt tired again and try again, pitch black room helps too, I never nap during the day and I try not to drink caffeine too late (god I sound boring lol)

Every other night maybe. The boots tablets leave me feeling groggy so I've switched to melatonin which are great
