I hate going to bed. I have bad hips and shoulder and the pain I'm in getting into bed. I have a guard on my bed to help me in and out. Then when I'm in I can't change positions so have to stay in the same position. Then I can't sleep and lie awake for hours then I have all the agony of getting out to the loo. Then I might drift of for a little while but don't stay asleep long. Sometimes I drift of about 7 in the morning and manage to sleep through the morning. Then I have to go through all the process of getting out again.

I am in the process of having my sleeping tablets changed so that might help with the sleep

Start packing the dogs at 10.45

Bed at 11

If my body gives me a break I’ll be asleep within the hour.. or 4. It’s a lucky dip..

for a penny

I go to bed about 10, listen to comedy on BBC Sounds for 30 or 45 minutes then turn off the light and am asleep almost instantaneously.

I haven’t used an alarm in 30 years - one of the advantages of being self employed.

If I have to get up early I wake up at the right time.

Oh, and very important, take good probiotics, it is crucial for gut health, which then benefits mental health.
