Q. How did we all manage before social media and smartphones?
A. Very well thank you, we just got on with our lives without the need to tell the world how pissed off we are, without the need to send selfies, without any mental health problems, without anyone harvesting confidential information to exploit, without any labels applied to every variant of human nature, applied by an ever more interfering control freaking power and profit mad media.
Social media - who needs it - not me that's for sure! |

"Jokes aside George, your casually racist language up there was a bit off. Less of that please."
If it offends you - please don't read it!
If it is untrue - whatever it was - please offer a suitable clarification? |

Now I do have a love hate relationship with social media, I hate that my little girl is growing up in a world of sexting and unsolicited dick pics, that cheating is the new norm because it's easy to connect with people anywhere, cyber bullying is rife and young girls aspire to have their lips plumped and tits enlarged to fit with the insta "influencers" I think it's a scary world.
But it's also good having information at your fingertips, get to meet some great people (like here)

"Ironic that the technology you post about has enabled you to create your post bemoaning about people moaning
More a case of winding up than moaning - now that is ironic!" Why do you want to wind people up |

"What is your problem with mental illness "
I don't have any problems with genuine mental illness but I do get fed up with hearing about how stressed everyone is supposed to be every day as it has become topic of the year. |

"Why do you want to wind people up
I can't help it, it's a mental illness!
Were we supposed to laugh at that? "
Only if it amuses you, I am not offended by anyone's refusal to see the funny side of life, after all, humour is said to be the best medicine. |

Yeah, I missed that bit too - perhaps it's your own imagination working overtime - but I don't recall taking the mick out of anyone with genuine mental illness? |

I'm a fan of social media. I have to be on, but I also enjoy being on although I have boundaries. I'm aware of the negative impact it can have, particularly on young people and what the platforms are doing to help with that. I'm informed and active and I'm happy with that. |

There's a lot of stigma around mental health, it can take a lot for people to access help.
Not being believed is on of the biggest anxieties preventing people seeking support. |

He looks at everyone’s health records to determine who’s lying and who’s telling the truth obviously |

You're another one with a vivid imagination and a warped sense of reality - where did I take anything out of anyone?
"

It's true, I do enjoy reading a good bit of fiction.
That said I don't twist or distort anyone else's postings to suit my own purposes.
But I do take what you say as humour and not malice.
Meanwhile back in the real world life goes on without Faceache etc. |
