Humans enjoy making art.
No amount of AI will replace a humans desire to create something.
Musicians are facing a similar prospect of being replaced by AI, the tech isn't quite there yet, but it will be soon.
The likelihood of artists getting replaced does become greater in a world dominated by AI.
But it's also just as likely that artists will utilize AI as another tool for making art.
Overall, I think this will just increase the value of human made art.
Think of like the difference between something that's handmade and bespoke compared to something that'd churned out on an assembly line.

I think it will change art. Technology and dishes in technology changes the way sonic spere sounds. Photography changes the way we view paintings and art. AI will help adapt and or change art itself in some way. |

I wanted to try the corporate headshots ai option, because I had it recommended to me, I wanted to get some images done for our staff for our company website. I deliberated, then went back to it and now they’ve got a wait list! |

The pace it's moving is crazy, as a photographer, artist and writer I see things every day that will take away parts but it can't do the human aspect yet, it's hard to distinguish with some images now. |

It's worth googling an article in the Independant "Reddit users unknowingly buy nude images of AI-generated woman". Amazing technology. I suspect I spotted one of these AI creations a few weeks ago in the chatrooms on here too. The web will be full of this stuff soon, it's pretty unstoppable. |

I think when you applying a legal framework from the Victorian era (Bern 1886 agreement) and trying to apply it to the 21st century context and tech you will get sticking points.
People being able to claim copyright for an entire price of work when only a second of it has been used is seemingly rediculas.
While in other areas of the internet the copyright law is not being enforced at all. like people using photos for videos and AI image creation. But I could talk about other areas too like bots assessing fake ID claims etc but thats another forum. |

I was watching Picard yesterday and thinking to my self one day the computers will have ai chat features and abilities not to dissimilar to that in the programme. |

It's more the fact that the AIs have been trained using millions of images - the vast majority of which are someone else's copyright - that were just scraped directly and indiscriminately from the web. It's been proven that photos from people's medical records have ended up in the mix. It's horrifying. It must be particularly galling for a professional artist to see the inevitable onset of cheap AI art and know that it was made possible by stealing your work. |

There is a law site atm between Getty images and one of the AI image generators. As they had not paid Getty for the rights of using (on in the AI case scrapping/traing there AI) for using Getty's images. They had only subscription. |

Some really clever AI engines out there but training the algorithm is slow to get better results. I am
Playing with a couple of types to see if I can train one from my adult content of me over the years.
They don’t like hands it seems too well at moment i notice as a weak area of getting right |

I guess it depends who's willing to pay more in the lobby - the struggling independent artists who are worried about their livelihoods or the multinational companies benefiting from an unlimited source of free artwork. |

Have you tried stable diffusion they allow people to make AI porn only recently relaxed their rules. |
