I messaged a beautiful couple with a face pic attached being very complimentary and they said I wasn't for them which is fair enough. I replied thanking them for replying and wished them happy fabbing and the result they replied exactly and blocked me. |

I've found I've been blocked by a couple of people - similar circumstances, think it's more a reflection on other people who don't take no for an answer rather than on you
At least that's how I view it |

Because your thank you could (and I stress could) be felt by them to be a foot in the door to continue the conversation and persuade them to change their mind |

This guy gets it, genuinely happens a lot and my block button is almost like my protection from the backlash, raising a drawbridge so to speak. It’s not against the person who messaged, it’s so I feel safe because I’ve been stung too many times before |

In our early days here we’d get exactly the same cut and paste messages from local guys on a regular basis.
It became easier to block those that are not of interest to us. |

Don't panic OP. It's nothing personal.
We block profiles we'll never be interested in when browsing just so they don't keep showing up in future searches. We'll never have had any interaction with them and the first they'll know about the block is if they ever try and view or message us.
It's just a permanent filter. Not an insult.

"Because people keep messaging even after a no.
Now that's 100% a reason to block... Why would you keep trying if you get told no "
Because unfortunately some people don’t have any self respect and start bombarding messages even when told not interested. |

Absolutely this the sheer amount of people who message again and again means blocking puts a stop to it before it even starts |

Good idea I think, I appreciate its a blunt tool when you get that notice but better for everyone after a polite no thanks. Move on but don't give up. |

" Its rude i know but its part of the rules so you have to accept it, people do it to limit messages also it does save you messaging again later, just move on and toughen up a bit it will happen a lot but don't give up hope one persons no is anothers yes |

What do you think they meant by 'exactly'? I get the blocking, I do it too to save further contact if no interest. |

I find too often that people that have already accepted a rejection end up messaging me again a week or two later. It just makes more sense to block them than have to go through the same nonsense everything they're too horny to remember they've already asked and had a no. |

So many times we say no thankyou only for the guy to re message 6 weeks later with the same cut and paste message.
If we've said no thankyou once little will change our mind for a second time.
So we now block to save us all a bit of time. |

"Why do people get so hung up on being blocked. It's not some sort of punishment and it doesn't harm you in anyway."
People take it personally and they really shouldn’t. I sometimes even block from local updates if I don’t like the look of them. It just makes it all easier. |
