I didn't watch the programme but saw this listed at the weekend. It's a bit scary that I was already a grown up... and still cried.

first film i ever watched at the cinema..age 5..i remember being there and crying my eyes out at the end..but also thinking it was the most amazing thing i'd ever seen.I've loved cinema ever since,and will always love ET

I saw it at the cinema when it first came out, and it is one of my all time Top 10 films of all time.

I cry everytime I watch the bit when Elliott says goodbye to E.T. thinking it is dead.

In the re-mastered ET, Speilberg removed all the guns from the Agents, Feds and Govmt guys, he said it never sat right with him.
