Young Sherlock Holmes, with my father and sister. I was so terrified and impressed all at once. Mummified and boiled in oil, alive, by a subterranean Anubis cult, to the sound of Carmina Burana? It was a lot for a 7 year old. |

This is still one of my favourite films. |

Oh god yes,
The music, the Egyptology, the puzzles, the cakes ( )
And Young Sherlock himself…. Well that just started me off on a “type”. |

Superman. 1978. (Films took a long time to get to my neck of the woods ) I was 5.
I watched it last night as I said our house was as cold as the Fortress of Solitude and no one in my family recognised the reference. Sacrilege. So they all sat like Alex in A Clockwork Orange watching Superman to correct said situation.
I love Superman |

"Watership Down, my Dad took me thinking I would like it, well I didn't, I was only little
Me too…. Everyone was crying "
I cried, even the ice cream sundae my Dad bought me afterwards didn't work! Then we went home and Mum asked about the film which started me crying again
I couldn't listen to Bright Eyes either after that
The Cinema was a traumatic place for me when I was little.....Bloody Star Wars and Bambi!

I've no idea what the first film was. My parents are film buffs and I've watched all sorts of films all my life. My first real cinema memory is seeing the trailer for The Lion King and being absolutely desperate to watch it. I'm not sure how long in advance they used to show trailers, but it felt like 2 years before it was finally released. |

I'm pretty sure it was a James Bond film.
My Dad took me and my brother. Looking back it must have been cos he wanted to see it so had to cart us along.
I was pretty young....
Think I'll check the release date of the first bond film. |

Saturday morning pictures. There used to be a B movie first, then the main feature. My father used to leave me and my brother there when we were quite young and pick us up later. I think the first film we saw was a Bambi, maybe.. |

Probably not my first time but the first one I remember was Star wars Episode 1 the phantom menace with my grandad after he'd had a big win on the horses |

Yes, and I was so pissed off because my older brother got to see Jurassic park but because we were staying with my grandparents over the summer they thought it would be too scary for me so I was stuck watching the Flintstones instead |
