Yeah.

In my mind, every one of my exes plus my first childhood crush has a theme song that triggers my memories of them.

Absolutely....I had a Status Quo song at my wedding that only my friend and I danced to.... our Dads are both gone and were both Quo fans...

I also still cry hearing certain Queen tracks as they were Dad's faves and he's only away 2 years... we were daft enough to use 2 at his funeral

Yes and places.

I see their faces and remember certain moments.

All songs that trigger me should be band from the radio, by royal decree.

You could just make a playlist of the ones that invoke happy memories?

Absolutely… just a few notes of a song is enough to make you think of a certain person or memory. Same with smelling fragrance that reminds you of them.

Mostly ones that are gone

Any meatloaf song now reminds me of a childhood friend who passed away last year as he loved meatloaf

When I was young my dad had a tape he recorded he used to play in his car all the time it only had two songs both were by Cher turn back time and just like Jesse James hearing either instantly takes me back to being a kid when he would take me out for a drive at night while my mam was at bingo

Of course. I recently wrote a piece on this there’s a fair bit of science behind it.

Some remind me of people,of places, events, happy and sad times.

There are some songs I avoid altogether as too sad to hear due to being associated with very difficult experiences.

"Absolutely… just a few notes of a song is enough to make you think of a certain person or memory. Same with smelling fragrance that reminds you of them. "

Completely agree.

Songs and scents immediately take me to a place either good or bad.

They act like bookmarks in life
