Who else is excited for the start of the snooker world championship today? It starts at 11am. I saw the qualification and the draw and what a draw it was between ronnie v pang, which is the first game as well |

Although he has had a poor season all eyes will be on Ronnie and he is the one who I fancy to win it.Shaun Murphy and Mark Selby seemed to have hit form at just the right time and two other members of the class of 92 Mark Williams & John Higgins are very capable of going all the way after all both got to the semifinals last year.Judd Trump all round game has improved and he is another who is capable of going all the way. |

"Its difficult to pick a winner
Robertson's playing well and in with a shout " . Two breaks of 146 yes he is certainly playing well.My concern with Neil Robertson is at times he over thinks he shots as if he is doubting himself and when that happens he does end up playing slower and the wrong shot |

"That was nice to see
I wonder who the commentator is that Ronnie said about. I bet it's hendry " . I would be surprised if it was Stephen Hendry as apart from back in 2002 he has always respected Stephen Hendry and his achievements. At a guess I would say Shaun Murphy as the last couple of seasons he has done commentary work for the BBC and has said he feel’s Ronnie could be doing more to help grow the game instead of criticising venues and standard of players |

"Well done Ronnie O’Sullivan 13-2 against Hossein and a friendly warm embrace at the end of it after everything that has gone on between the two of them "
Hossein learns valuable lesson in snooker.
Play the table, not the man |

Not a chance. Ronnie recently in the press saying Hendry is the greatest and the tiger Woods of snooker. That respect goes both ways. |

Looking forward to those |

Selby v Higgins
Probably my 2 least favourite players. A match to avoid for me. On the plus side one of them will be out.
It’s opened up for ROS.
Brecel next then Si or McGill.
If he turns up he should be into the final comfortably.
But we all know sport doesn’t work like that |

Wouldn't mind seeing brecel win it though, he's about the most entertaining to watch quick and not scared to take on the big shots
" You are right there and same here, the favourites have gone now. I wanted ronnie to win as well |

" . It would be nice if Brecel or Si could win it but I think Selby is now the man to beat. |

"Wow this young Chinese guy could dominate the sport if he keeps playing like this!Yes. I also think that si can dominate the sport, he is playing perfect snooker "
Not looking so confident today though. Almost looks like he's resigned himself to losing to Brecel. |

2 contrasting semifinals the Brecel v Si will go down as a classic. As much I would like Brecel to win this is Selby’s 5th final in 10 years and he won the previous 4 so I think Selby to win 18-15 |

Mon the brecel. Selby is a great of the game and does what he does better than anyone, however he is hard going and often grinds opponent into submission. Hoping brecel wins this, full of flair and attacking snooker. Taking the day off tomorrow so can watch in full. |

" You are right there, he wasnt so confident, he had bad luck with that green cue ball, if it would of gone in. I think that he would of made it, all in all he did a good debut and I can see that he will dominate the snooker scene |

What's the saying. One swallow does not make a summer. Look what happened to our tennis player Emma Radacanu.
Nothing is guaranteed in life. |

Agree, big potential, needs to learn better shot selection but that will come with experience. But can't see anybody dominating as such. Too many good players. |

"Who do you think will win the final? So far it is 6-3 to brecel.
I reckon that selby will win it " . I think if Selby goes into tomorrow no more than 10-7 down he can then go on to win it.When he best O’Sullivan and Higgins in previous finals he was 10-7 down overnight and went on to win on both occasions |

Mark Selby looks confident in his play and Luca Brucel was nervy especially on the long red that in previous games he was banging in but missed by a wide margin, Luca may still win but i reckon Marks still in it |
