My mum wears the Grapefruit and that smells lush and lasts all day, albeit turns into a softer scent and isn’t as sharp as when first sprayed.
I think the Pear and freesia should last all day as that’s quite a strong mix.
It’s expensive stuff so hopefully being good quality it SHOULD last. |

I don't normally like Jo M scents on me but this one really smells nice. I usually wear a silk scarf when I go out and the smell lingers on that the next day. As I said though my only concern is that the samples are made deliberately stronger. |

Shouldn’t be , they have two types whether it’s a sample or full size - perfume oil or spray, sprays are diluted with alcohol, are cheaper and don’t last as long as oil |

I have suspected for a while that samples are less diluted than the actual product they sell, based on no scientific evidence but on what my nose is telling me. Since Jo M seems to be mostly cologne which has a very low perfume to alcohol ratio I'm just a bit concerned that I'll need to top up during the day. I applied the sample scent this morning and can still smell it subtly on my scarf and neck.
Really I should just commit or not and have done with it  |

Molton Brown do some lovely scents too
Their scents aren't as well known as their shower & bath products so regularly end up in the outlet shops at discounted prices
I have a couple and regularly get told I smell lovely (at work that is, I don't get close enough to others these days for more intimate sampling ) |

Yeah just get it !
I take my expensive originals like creed to the perfume souk here and get them to recreate them exactly, they are so good, they also have the formulae’s for most . When done I say leave it as pure oil, no alcohol at all, one drop lasts 3-4 days !

I purchased English Pear & Freesia a few months back. The 'staying power' — or longevity — is very good. The contents in a sample are no different to the full product. The cologne is the most concentrated in that range, followed by the body mist and then the hair mist.
Longevity also depends on your pulse points and how warm they (and you) are. |

I wish I had access to that sort of thing. Many years ago I had pure oil No 5 bought for me by someone very wealthy. I used to put a drop on a cotton wool ball and keep it in my bra for a few days. |

English pear and freesia is the only one that smells nice on me. What I like about it is that it settles down to a very subtle perfume |

Pear and freesia is one of the Jo malone ones I wear. I never feel I need to top it up and I’m guessing must last all day long as my kids say it reminds them of holidays when they were younger. Must have hung around me all day |

I love Jo Malone! Currently have orange blossom which is a great day scent. They did a limited edition pink silk blossom a couple of years ago which was so good, I’m kicking myself that I didn’t realise it was limited edition or I’d have got a couple of extra bottles  |

Up until 2 years ago I always wore No 5 Perfume but changed to E Pear & Fresia for summer and now only wear No 5 occasionally
Jo malone doesn’t have the same staying power but you wouldnt expect it to as it’s a cologne

I’ve worn no Malone for years and have the Lime, Basil and Mandarin and people comment on it all the time even late on in the day so it does last. People even purposefully come looking for something in my office because it smells nice.
I’ve tried a few dupes as moneys tight at the moment but none which smell like the real thing.

Yeah its called midnight haze I'm sure. I'm going to pick it up to give it a go. I usually get the lime basil and mandarin one and always have people asking if I've jo malone on. The aldi dupe is good too though. |
