I found season 1 and 2 to be fairly flat, disappointing or thoroughly under maximised.
Season 3 has been by far the best, though I do feel it has been a little padded at times, just to drag the story out.
I haven't seen todays episode yet. |

I'm deliberately not watching season 3 yet until all the episodes are out so I can binge watch it. It took me a few goes on the very first episode before I started getting in to it, now I'm hooked. Is it my imagination, or is Patrick Stewart's acting a little bit wooden on occasion? |

You won't be disappointed.

"A little too hard on the fan service at times but amazing none the less.
This it what season 1 and 2 should have been, not the crazy fanfiction they came up with. "
Completely agree, it's annoying it took them two seasons (and crapping all over what could have been a great story with Q) to realise all people wanted was the old crew back together again |

I was so disappointed with seasons 1 and 2, although I had to keep watching them cos, you know, Star Trek. So pleased I persevered as season 3 has been far far better. If next week's episode is bad I'll be crushed!

I mean Episode 9 was probably the best episode of Star Trek ever made. It’s been pipped at the post by the new series of Quantum Leap but it’s still 10/10.
I mean USS Enterprise D I mean COME ON… HOW GOOD!?!? |

Be prepared for a season and a half of rubbish before getting to the good stuff!

Although season 3 has been the best season (we almost didn't bother because of how bad season 2 was), I'm really disappointed that they went with the Borg as the bad guys again, they've been done to death in just about every Star Trek show...
Lazy writing.

It boggles the mind how such a good season came out of the same series that had two of the worst Trek seasons since Enterprise.
They really turned it around. |

Its not lazy writing its taking it back to where it was getting the group back together with the addition of 7 of 9 also adding a new kid for Beverly as Wesley was useless really good to see shame they look so old and Patrick steward seams to be on his last legs |

I disagree. It's more about Picard himself, the far reaching consequences of the absolute worse thing that happened to him. The battle of Wolf 359 has been shown to impact various characters in ST, Sisko for example, but now it's focussing on the personal tragedy that is Picard/Locutus. Picard is the baddie here, not the Borg.

"So sad about captain shaw. What a character, hated him at the start but by the end loved him. "
Was quite put out by Shaw, I was looking forward to seeing him if the Titian series ever took off, but looks like it will be seven now. |

The old show runner Alex Kutzman was not in charge this season, it was a guy called Terry Matalas hopefully he will produce new treks shows. |

Shaw was the best part of that show and why can't they use voyager against the borg and if my memory is correct she had a upgrade from further janeway on shields and they beat them but enterprises D is looking sexy !! |

Easy.
They went with fanfiction to stand out and be "blockbuster" with 1 and 2. Took risks by trying to be this grand movie that didn't pay off.
Even more so with season 2, more about style and "oh that's cool" than it was about substance and story. Notice how they have ignored almost everything that happened in S1 and S2, barely any references or consequences from them.
They listened to complaints from fans, realised people want what we are getting. Classic but modernised TNG.
I still think S3 is a bit too much fan service for the sake of it in places, but it is by far one of the best few episodes of any Trek season out there. |

We never seen him die yet only near death there may be hope.
I really hated him start of the series but now I have grown to like him. He is the way a good character ark and redemption should be. |

The best episode of Star Trek ever made?
It was a good episode, and I was happy to see Enterprise D again... Using Voyager would have made more sense (maybe there's still time...)

Quit after season 1 episode 3.
Which as a massive trek nerd since the mid 90s is the first time I've actively chosen to abandon a trek show.
Haven't seen DSC season 4 yet, but haven't actually quit it. Just not come up in our schedule yet |
