I’m big music fan most genre’s but I watched a 9 min video of this artist called Ren song being ( hi ren) it’s been watched by 7 million ppl in 3 months , I have never heard a more profound thought provoking song in 40 yrs of liking music but must watch entire video to see what I mean , has anyone else heard of this guy or seen this video ?  |

I've been listening to Ren for a few years now.
He definitely knows how to hit you in the feels with his lyrics. Was glad to see Hi Ren was getting such high views cause I feel he definitely deserves to be more well known.
Money Game part 1 & 2 are also worth a listen, and I love the song Dominoes.
He's currently in Canada for some pretty intense treatment so I hope we see more songs coming soon. |

I was introduced to him by someone recently, he's very talented, but I have a greater appreciation for his understanding of mental health and how he articulates that in his creative art, he's very cerebral and that I really appreciate |

Definitely, he's very cerebral and I related to his song Hi Ren a lot regarding the battle with mental illness, that split personality between the light and dark learning to accept that it's a part of you
The fact he understood that part of living with mental illness was very moving for me. He learned to welcome his demons into his life and accept them for what they are rather than trying to fight with them |

I saw that video I guess a few weeks back and my jaw absolutely dropped.
Then I went and saw the rest of his work, and now he’s my new favourite artist at the moment.
That song is POWERFUL. I wanted to reach out to everyone I’d ever met who deals with illness and suffering and make sure they’d seen it too.
I was so enthralled that my now ex thought I fancied him when I wouldn’t stop watching his videos. But I’m an amateur musician and when I see that much talent in one place, I almost forget an artist even HAS a sexual self.
Check out some of his other work. I’m not even a massive hip hop fan. But yeah. He is astounding. |

Hi Ren kept coming up on my YouTube recommend and I kept ignoring it. After a few weeks I got annoyed and clicked it just to stop it coming up on my feed. 9 minutes later I was sat with tears in my eyes and applauding his skills. Not a song I would listen to in my car or out jogging, but as a whole performance its absolutely masterful. |

It's one of those pieces of music that I am in awe of and moved by but wouldn't just put it on and listen to it like most other music. It's more of an event than casual listening, much more so than doing a Pink Floyd marathon. |
