I think it happens a lot. I had someone turn up who not only didn't look like their photo but were a completely different ethnicity. Odd bc I never stated a preference bc i don't especially have one but yes, I absolutely would notice that disparity  |

So many fake profiles that waste everyone's time, I wish the security admin would do something about them all. It really does ruin it for the genuine people who just want to have fun.  |

Anything can be faked. Photos and even videos these days.
In an age when you can face swap on a simple mobile phone app and deep fake celeb porn is a thing online then why believe something so simple couldn't be doctored with basic, freely available software?
Face to face is the only guaranteed way to see the real person and be 100% confident it's them.
That green flag is seen as some kind of irrefutable proof a profile is real. We've never bothered. 99.9% sure our veris prove us more genuine than any little flag that could appear on our profile.

How would they know though? I never post my face in any pics I upload, theoretically it could be anyone's body, the veri photo only shows that a person is a man or woman. Although I guess you could photo shop in the hand written sign... |
