How do people trust Public Verifications more than Admin Verifications??

All it takes is someone to make a fake account, have there old Verified account verify the fake one and boom you’re “trustworthy”

At least with the admin it’s a 3rd party, although I think they just kinda let most slide

Because I've seen plenty of fake accounts that are photo veried as well. I place more faith in my own judgement than I do veris.

That's why I covered my back by making 1000 fake accounts that have all been verified by a dozen or so of each other and I keep up forum posts for most of them. Then I hold fake socials and events that we all pretend to attend. It's tough work but the only way to convince you all I'm real.

The photo verification only proves the person is the sex they claim to be..

Public verifications prove the person has met others.

It's not as easy as you think for a person to verify a new profile they have made from an old one ..

Trust nothing on the site as it can all be faked.

I always check the person who wrote the verification and see what kind of verifications they have and take it from there. You can determine if they are trustworthy this way

You can fake a admin. Send in a correct pic, get the veri, then upload fake pics.

Tbh I'm slightly cynical of someone with one veri, if it's from someone with only one veri.

When it comes to couples, they could have got photo ID'd then broken up years ago. A recent verification is an indication that they are both still using the account

It’s simple. You follow the veri trail.

Nothing is foolproof.

I know of a couple who had a public breakup and she advertised for a replacement and when she found one she ammended the profile accordingly and carried on as before using all the verifications received with her previous partner.

I've seen profiles posting screenshots of a verification list which were all given a year before the current profile was even created.

It's all about consistency so I don't trust any verifications on their own merit.

Fake verifications from others are very easy. People ask if someone will verify them and the answer could well be yes. I recognise a few profiles now who write verifications when asked because they do it repeatedly for a person who keeps creating profiles after they get a ban, then a few days later a new one pops up. All just wank fodder and the verifications are always on a similar theme.

Like anything, Instagram likes or whatever some people put a lot of stock into numbers of meets. Real or not.

Photo verification is a bare minimum - the profile is the gender/sex they claim to be.

Public verification is "someone met this person and lived to tell the tale".

And both can be faked. Not just user written verifications.

Do your own research, as they like to say.

Veris = relying on a stranger's opinion of another stranger.

Makes sense to me.

Custard to one side, the first people I met, I relied *heavily* on meet verifications.

Not like, can they lick for hours treat them with respect blah blah.

But - if more than a few people said they had a good time with person X - they're probably not a serial killer and I'll probably be ok. That sounds melodramatic and I am saying this with tongue in cheek re my previous self.

But - is the person I'm messaging a man? On this kind of site, that's almost a given. It's not remarkable.

Is the person I'm messaging respectful, polite, considerate of boundaries, safe? That's a harder question to answer. (Verifications alone are a tool to answer that question - nothing is a guarantee)

Photo verifications just show your a human who can hold a peice of paper, regardless of whether you look like your pics, turn up to meets etc.

Real verifications can be faked of course but follow the trail and there easy to spot.

Ps I'm fake, I look nothing like my pics and a 3rd arm.

Easy. We put faith in veris from club meets way more than private. We also do the verification trail and having been on here 15 years we're aware of folk we can be 99.9% sure are who they claim to be because people we know have met them, or people that have met people we know have met them, or people we've seen as being active on the site and in clubs for years have met them.

We don't take anything said by anyone as an indication that we'll be compatible with someone, but we can be sure enough that they exist based on who has met them before.

Verification trails are very useful. Any break, or if they appear circular or odd and its a big red flag.
