I really can't stand them. They taste like cold fat, weird texture. They should be displayed in a corner somewhere and not take up so much space on the shelves |

"I know they are supposed to be hip and trendy but I don't really care for them They are OK in a salad but I tried smashed avocado on toast and didn't like it"
Try them with poached egg and sun-dried tomatoes on toast, I hated them until I tried that combo |

I hated them in salads etc. Slimy!
Then i smashed them, added salt and pepper and had them with a poached egg on sourdough toast. Delicious!

Aww now you didn’t mention marmite. You leave that out of it! Marmite is great!"

I was actually just experimenting. There are the usual culprits who roam the forums with asanine comments in threads, insulting people for having different opinions or just plainly being horrible to others for no reason. I thought let me post something that is so trivial and see how long it takes for someone to come and be rude, mean or bullying.....

Sorry OP, on my second reply I was just joking and the remark was supposed to be very dry which doesn't really translate well over text. Of course you're allowed your food preferences as is everyone! |

Food of the gods
Mashed up with a little salt and pepper, a drop of Tabasco and a little lime juice then spread nice and thick on some toasted crusty bread and finished off with a nice runny poached egg on the top. Some nice smoked streaky bacon and a few mushrooms is my favourite weekend breakfast or sometimes lunch in the week. |

Here's my counter. If you need to add other ingredients and food to something to make it taste good then perhaps it's something that doesn't actually taste good.
Like, have you ever seen someone eat a raw avacado? |

Adding in my 2 pence of opinion.
Avo's eaten in the country they're grown in, are a thing of beauty and much nicer than the ones that have been shipped over to the UK.
I'm currently growing 2 Avo trees from seed. I have 0 expectation of success. |

They're fantastic provided you finish the pot within a couple of days otherwise it goes brown quite quickly |

Frozen avocado is too far! The pots tend to be in the fridge near the dips like hummus, tzatziki etc. |

Even those pots are chalk and cheese.
The chilli ones are ok (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own) and the lemon ones are vile (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own).
I never touched the things until I discovered the smashed with chilli version. Recoiled in horror when I bought and tasted the lemon version by mistake.
I have a dash of lemon in my breakfast tea (no milk), that is tolerable from the vitamin intake POV. |

I'm surprised by that, I always buy the normal one and don't mind the taste. I might buy one of each next time I go |

Hmm I thought this was going to be a subject like cucumbers lol Strange subject for a swinger site but I will play along.....
I Absolutely Love Avocado's. I mash them with Salt and Vinegar and either eat on Toast or just straight out of the bowl. I hate Salads lol except for fruit salads. Love Black and Green Olives.
Hmm hope this is what the Topic of discussion is looking for lol |

I think there is still some debate on whether avocados are vegan or not, as per an article published on 13th September 2022 by Vegan Food & Living magazine, titled “Are avocados vegan? We investigate the truth behind the myth”. It makes for an interesting read, and highlights some other common vegan foodstuffs that are potentially affected by commercial beekeeping. |
