Then i smashed them, added salt and pepper and had them with a poached egg on sourdough toast. Delicious!

Food of the gods

Mashed up with a little salt and pepper, a drop of Tabasco and a little lime juice then spread nice and thick on some toasted crusty bread and finished off with a nice runny poached egg on the top. Some nice smoked streaky bacon and a few mushrooms is my favourite weekend breakfast or sometimes lunch in the week.

Here's my counter. If you need to add other ingredients and food to something to make it taste good then perhaps it's something that doesn't actually taste good.

Like, have you ever seen someone eat a raw avacado?

Avo's eaten in the country they're grown in, are a thing of beauty and much nicer than the ones that have been shipped over to the UK.

Even those pots are chalk and cheese.

The chilli ones are ok (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own) and the lemon ones are vile (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own).

I never touched the things until I discovered the smashed with chilli version. Recoiled in horror when I bought and tasted the lemon version by mistake.

I have a dash of lemon in my breakfast tea (no milk), that is tolerable from the vitamin intake POV.

"A decent, perfectly ripe avocado with oil and vinegar is delicious but finding one is so rare that I stopped bothering

I've never bothered and just get the pots of smashed avocado from Aldi

Even those pots are chalk and cheese.

The chilli ones are ok (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own) and the lemon ones are vile (bear in mind that avocado has no real taste on its own).

I never touched the things until I discovered the smashed with chilli version. Recoiled in horror when I bought and tasted the lemon version by mistake.

I have a dash of lemon in my breakfast tea (no milk), that is tolerable from the vitamin intake POV. "

Avocado has a meaty taste.

I'm surprised by that, I always buy the normal one and don't mind the taste. I might buy one of each next time I go

Hmm I thought this was going to be a subject like cucumbers lol Strange subject for a swinger site but I will play along.....

I Absolutely Love Avocado's. I mash them with Salt and Vinegar and either eat on Toast or just straight out of the bowl. I hate Salads lol except for fruit salads. Love Black and Green Olives.

Hmm hope this is what the Topic of discussion is looking for lol

I think there is still some debate on whether avocados are vegan or not, as per an article published on 13th September 2022 by Vegan Food & Living magazine, titled “Are avocados vegan? We investigate the truth behind the myth”. It makes for an interesting read, and highlights some other common vegan foodstuffs that are potentially affected by commercial beekeeping.

Only have occasionally mashed up on top of two slices of hot toast with two runny poached eggs on top. Tried sliced in salad but wasn't a fan
