I didn't fall but hurt mine in the gym - it's very painful 
Different for everyone but I've had mine for over a year. Dr can prescribe painkillers and physio if it doesn't get better soon x |

I haven't fallen down the stairs but took a fall whilst schooling a young horse a few years ago, resulted in a bruised and chipped coccyx, mine still aches from time to time  |

I did over 10 years ago same thing and still feel it at times . I end up going to hospital but thay don't do alot when you crack that bone , The pain is as bad as child birth. |

fell down an entire flight of stairs years ago whilst sleep walking. Amazingly I neva woke up and a friends dad came down and carried me back to bed but boy did I know about it with the pain the following day. Lasted about a week or 2 i think .. Wish you a speedy recovery ! |

I've done the same riding and it still plays up now and then, not fun |

yes twice - wont tell you the lasting damage - hospital cant xray it had to have mri scan - lots of painkillers and sleep half sitting up on one buttock - hope its just badly bruised for you |

If you have fractured your coccyx it will take 4-6 weeks to repair with the pain easing off as time goes on. It will be very painful to begin with and it is strongly recommended soft cushioning underneath when sitting and prescription strength painkillers as required. Some people, avoid sitting altogether as it is too painful. As a rule we do not x-ray coccyx as it does not change the treatment advice given unless there is problems with going to the loo. numbness when sitting on toilet or sciatic pain down the back of legs; then see your doctor. The pain can sometimes continue after the bones have healed as occasionally the tip may not fuse back properly or in proper alignment, if that happens there is not much than can be done to be honest.

Once got run over on a zebra crossing by an ambulance and once on way to go out didnt see sign and fell down manhole broke ankle. Fire service needed to extract me apart from i aint done much |

i fell out of a dumper truck when i was about 12 was mucking about with my bros on a building site,and it still hurts to this day every now and then,dont think it helps that i had a hairline fracture of my pelvis trying to birth my first child |
