Yes it was lovely. I was devastated when he died. He was my favourite person on television. I've watched all the clips on Facebook and read all the comments and not one bad word said about him

Not watched it yet as I’m on the wine and I’ll just get all maudlin.

But he did seem like such a warm person - someone who could cheer you up, give you a good talking to, a wee cuddle and send you back off into the world with a smile.

And he was awesome with dogs. I hope he’s having a wicked game of fetch up in heaven.

What a great man. So kind and thoughtful. You genuinely cannot replace someone who would care so much like he did. I'd like to think ITV will find someone genuine to take over his show, for the love of dogs.

Living your best life through his example, we only can dream to be like him.

In the middle

A wonderful tribute to a wonderful man over 300 dogs re-homed because of him and hundreds of thousands in donations since his passing, anyone that loves animals that much is a good egg in my book, I hope he is happy up there with R Cilla

Loads of time for the fella. His comedy was acerbic, but kind. If you can, watch the out takes from Blankety Blan on YouTube. Hysterical

While watching I remember watching his chat show. And Lily's version of blankety blank are so much better than the new bet.

Read something lovely about POG today from someone who worked with him: that whenever he had vacancies to work on his show, he insisted they were advertised at the local job centres so that anyone could apply and maybe get a break like he had. I liked that. (Especially in an industry like TV where 'who you know' can bring many advantages.)

Didn't watch the doc though as my dog is triggered whenever he sees a dog on TV and I just wanted the peace!

A posthumous Knighthood wouldn't be a bad idea, for a man who did so much for animal care.
