After quite a while on Fab we have finally switched on the "must be verified" filter. We resisted for a long time as we wanted to restrict our account as little as possible. Newbies were the first to be filtered out a while back but now we are so suspicious and cynical of fakers (having had a particular bad experience) that we don't trust our own ability to filter anymore. How much do you rely on Fab filters? |

Oh I dont need filters in place I have a 100% full proof plan to out the fakes and timewasters.......i just block everyone who messages me ...lets face it if they were genuine they wouldnt be messaging me .....would they....   |

The problem with this tho is that I've found that some guys who have been verified are only verified cos someone who knew them prior to the site had done it for them.
For example some guy who had just joined messaged me the other day asking me to verify him because we were fb previously. I said no cos he was a complete utter twat who messed me around a lot so why would I want to write a glowing review which makes other women think he's great and then possibly mess them around too. |

People can have fake verifications...
Couples can have verifications from when they were a coupe but now it's just a single male using the account.
Single females can have verifications from other fake accounts.
I only block newbies. I don't need any other filters as I don't show up on any searches and only go looking for people I want to meet. My system works perfectly. |
