As above, I don’t like ignoring messages because I don’t want to come across as rude. With a wink, we can wink back if we like the look of the profile, if not, we just ignore it.

Whenever I wink at people in the street they look at me with disgust, so I've given up as well. Mind you they still look at me with disgust so I dunno what to tell you. |

Most people on fab ignore them and I can understand why.
I've had a number of occasions where I've either winked at someone and they've winked back - or they've winked at me - and I've followed up with a message only to be completely ignored or my message deleted.
It's hard to know why someone has winked.
A message is always much better |

I normally send a wink back then follow up with a message if there's an attraction or more to find out if there's an attraction, wich is rare as I tend not to send messages on here as see many many status updates of had to delete my inbox so gave up on the messaging front |

I would say some don't see them because they have loads and some just aren't interested. I always send a message if I see a wink from someone I like the look of but sometimes they then don't message back which means them winking was pointless  |

I think winks are good, they show interest without being pushy. I'm still getting used to how direct most people are in the Fabiverse. It's taken pretty much the whole 4 months that we've been here for the yellow unread message not to send me into a panic. I actually almost like it because we have some lovely friends here and I can't wait to see what they've sent (still a little bit of panic though).
That said I'm rubbish with winks, we have accumulated hundreds and I can't remember who I liked the look of and who I didn't  I will do a bulk delete I think and try to stay on top this time.

I agree entirely. Wink back and they know you are interested and then exchange messages. |
