This year I have decided that come hell or high water I am going to go away on holiday. It will be me alone and looking not to pay over £800 which has to include taxes transfers baggage and car parking. I am not one for really noisy busy night life just want somewhere quiet where I can get a sun tan not packed with children and just relax. Anyone got any ideas please.

Why don't you put a meet up and explore the option of arranging a few meets and go with other single females males couples not necessarily to play with but I'm sure there are many singles on here who would love a holiday but are apprehensive about holidaying alone and if you met someone you got on with and share the cost !!!

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I'd recommend a Nile Cruise Moody...usually not many kids (or at least small ones), very single friendly (I did one on my own last year), warm (extremely hot depending when you go).

I've now done 6 (I think) and I fully intend to do more either on my own or with my mate - I never tire of Egypt...

I think you should be able to get one for £800. If you want any more info (or the phone number of a gorgeous young masseur who does "happy endings") PM me

Moody. Maybe go down to a local travel agent and see places they recommend.

No harm in that.

Hill Top Hotel in Hanioti, Halkidiki Greece. Beautiful location, easy walking distance to village and beach, hotel rooms, staff and food (if you want to eat in) all amazing. We went in september and there were no kids at all

Would totally reccomend it

We had 2 weeks in Side, Turkey last year for £535 bed and breccy for both of us.

Can't get the same deal this year though.

It's a lovely old town a we're looking to go back again.

Kusadasi is nice too. Totally unspoilt and not too commercial at all

Yes, that's right. Kate found it online. We booked it last Christmas and went in June. It was mega hot, in the 40's for most of the time we were there.

It wasn't busy and the sea was like being in the bath.

I love Cyprus. Friendly people, great weather and you can decide to go somewhere busy, Ayia napa or more quiet but not completely dead like Protaras.

I've been to Cyprus on my own a couple of times and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Also been to Rhodes, which is nice and historical.

Turkey, Olu Deniz, ( Blue Lagoon)

Beautiful place, peaceful, relaxed and so very very friendly. Lots of singles visit there and are treated so very well by the Turkish. Its cheap too.

5 star all inclusive would be easy on your budget ( dont go less than 4* in Turkey)

Wherever you pick enjoy x

Depends if you want to go out and about while you are there. Went to Nuweiba (up the coast from Sharm el Sheikh) about five years ago and it's very safe for a woman on her own, ticks all the boxes you've mentioned, but the drawback is there is not a lot immediately outside the hotels as they are all resort-type places.

Can give you the name of the holiday company we went with - who were very good) if you PM me.

Lesvos (or Lesbos) is nice and quiet. There is also a bar outside the airport which you can chill out in and watch the sea once you have checked in

My brother travels a lot on his own and wasn't stung with high single person supplements. He also got Mexico cheaper than some holidays inc the sps

Also worth going on well known flight finder and booking flight and accom separate, again no sps then. Re_iew sights can give help you on traveller re_iews.

Happy holiday hunting

Cape Verde

All inclusive cost me £685 for 2wks including transfers.

Its of coast of West Africa and still relatively unknown - but you can get a direct flight to the island from Manchester.

Just five and a half hours flight away, the islands of Cape Verde rarely sees rain and enjoy temperatures hovering between 25 and 35 degrees all year round.
