Nope.

My favourite mug has the most fantastic mingle of browns, beiges and near blacks in patterns and waves. Seldom gets washed.

A place where others reside (nr Oxford)

Charlie only has one coffee a day so no problem there.

Debs has multiple teas. No the cup doesn't get washed in between but now wondering if it should?!

Cheers OP

I don't drink tea but when I use it for anything it's washed right after. Seeing the state of some mugs at work I'm surprised they don't walk themselves to the sink!

If I get halfway through a cuppa and see a ring inside the mug it makes me feel a bit grim, so I scrub the mug every single time.

I usually just give my favourite teacup a quick rinse to wash out the old tealeaves, and I like to pour some hot water into the cup to warm it before pouring the tea. So I suppose that's a wash, of sorts.

I always clean my china after each drink, with a magic sponge from Japan. I don't like the tannins discolouring the pure white.

I have no doubt! I merely make mine in a standard porcelain pot and drink it from a china teacup. But I doubt I'm anywhere near his stratospheric levels of posh.

A fresh cup if I'm drinking tea, as I have that with milk.

The coffee cup at home goes in to the dishwasher at the end of the day.

The work cup gets a wash once a month whether it needs it or not or the stains on the outside look too bad. I drink my coffee black so it never gets mouldy.

couple, us we him her.

Ewww yes.

I worked with a guy many years ago he was a sort of yardman/storeman for our company I had a job in the yard building some hordings for a job.

Used to go and sit in the tea room at break time.

His cup was literally black inside,he said he hadn't washed it up for 5years it was fucking gross.

He said that the boiling water will kill off any germs.

He also used to use two tea bags every brew and leave them in until he'd d*unk it.

He was grim.
