When Jimmy gives Steph a lift home on his scooter, he is on a trailer that is higher than some of the cars.

Not only that, if you look at the vehicles in the background you will see 1970's cars, including a yellow Camero of a 1975 vintage I believe.

One of my single guy friends is an aging mod (god hope he doesn't read this post).

Anyway he has an old scooter that is in immaculate condition which he has as a kind of ornament I suppose in a room in his house, surrounded by memorabillia.

It is really lovely, all polished and shiny. I would have loved to have a picture taken on it but didn't ask of course because I'm a big girl and I might have broken it

The smell is down to the type of oil used in the fuel/oil mix. the nice smell is when castor oil is in the mix.

Castrol "R" or cazzie R as it's known and it's true it smells bloody georgeous

I was a bit of a hybrid. I loved the mod fashion and some of the music, but I was a bit of a rocker too.

I had a 750 Bonny that I pushed more than I road. Only had it because it wasn't cool to ride a Jap bike and I couldn't afford an Italian Guzzi or a Laverda.

I've never ridden a scrot.

The reed valve helps with mid range and increases torque so helps it to be quicker but not faster (Quick is acceleration and faster is top speed)

Kidderminster+ surrounding areas.

where i live there are lots of scooter fans out on sundays as they often come past us on our bikes on our cycling club sunday runs, there is an affinity between us as quite a few of our clubrun are aging old mods from the first time round in mid 60s who used to go to the northern soul discos on scooters.

The General Wolf is boarded up now and the Scorpio's have been taken over by Hells Angels I think, anyway, they aren't around anymore. You rarely see a patched biker in Cornwall these days.

The Chopper Club held a rally in Ladock about 10yrs ago and I think that was the last time I saw a patched biker.

Vespa man here. I have a T5 (thats my new one only 16 years old photo on my profile) and a 150 super (1966) a true classic fully restored.

The rideout season starts March with the easter egg run to all local hospitals delivering easter eggs to the kids and finishes next december with the toy run. Same thing only delivering toys to kids who are in hopital over Christmas. During the rest of the year there are many rideouts all for charity So as you can see it's not just a MOD thing.

The brighton ride out you mention is the Aug bank holiday weekend which is crazy as it clashes with the Isle of white weekend.

Ride safe and Keep the faith
