If you need to cry then cry. It's allowed any time but certainly after what you've been through. 
I do understand what the others mean about being more positive so if you're genuinely ready to meet then I would take out the first bit about being dealt a blow. But keep in the last bit about your late partner, it's special.

If you need to cry then cry. It's allowed any time but certainly after what you've been through.
