Anyway, another thread got me thinking. Flirting. We all do it at some point or other don't we? Maybe not on the forums though. Are you a forum flirt? Do you prefer to do things more privately? Do you like flirty forum users or are you a bit put off by it?

I generally only flirt with people I actually like.

Ah I get this. I don't think I flirt in the slightest but the closest I come to it is with friends, platonic or otherwise. Or those who make me laugh.

I think I need to be in the mood to flirt in the forum and even then I think I need to fancy them to an extent. I get that there's friendly flirting that doesn't mean anything but I wouldn't want people to flirt with me when there's nothing there so wouldn't do the same to others to be honest.

This isn't exactly a direct answer to the OP, so I do apologise, Meli. But it leapt into my mind and so I'm gonna word vomit.

When I was in sixth form (approximately 30 billion years ago when obviously we were 18), someone asked who was the flirtiest person in the tutor group. Everyone said person A. I said person B, and everyone was surprised. Because A was an overt flirt. Very much the centre of attention, Queen bee, the sort of person you can see flirting, makes people feel all sexy n shiz.

But person B was more of a flirt. She flirted with everyone. Not overtly, not sexually, but all the time. Because it was a way to make people feel good. And a way to get on with people.

In the world outside of this little Internet box, I do that. It's one reason why I was (and still occasionally am) a damn good barmaid and an excellent publican.

I think you're right. I've always done well in roles where I have to deal with clients/members of the public. It's that friendly nature, the ability to make someone feel relaxed, like you're giving them your attention and more than happy to. I don't think it's necessarily flirting, more that easy way of interacting with others. Making them feel good.

I think in our world (of course, sometimes, it can be a bit much on here), it's lovely to do so.
