Im usually a solo gymmer ( headphones on head down and get it done!)
Wondering if anyone else is the same / prefers being a solo gymmer instead of going to the gym with a buddy?
Or is it motivational to go with a buddy to push / motivate both them and yourselves? |

"Solo. Even if my partner is there we don't train together. To be honest I get pissed off with groups hogging equipment while socialising more than training"
I know right? Especially if your in a smallish gym anyway
Hoggers are the worst especially when theres only one of such equipment at the gym!
Swimming pool is the problem i have atm in my gym , with people socialising in the pool , not swimming just chit chatting
Its fine when the pool is busy but when theres 8 people trying to do lengths it gets crazy! |

I like training with someone else because I’m really competitive and it pushes me to train harder. Unfortunately gym buddies are usually unreliable so I’m more of a headphones in, balls to the wall kinda guy. |

Definitely solo. I’m an introvert so that figures anyway. Also I like to work out at my own pace. When training with another you sometimes feel you need to go at their pace. Also, especially with guys, the whole bro-science thing can take over - trying to impress/match your partner, impress some girls etc. So weights go up and form goes out the window.
So yes I’m a nutshell I always train alone and never intend to change that. |
