athletic can be nice - would any men here seriously say no to Jessica Ennis or Victoria Pendleton? but over-developed muscles don't do it for me, I'd much rather have womanly curves |

"I'm not that keen on over-developed men either."
I've never seen an 'over developed' male physique which I didn't suspect was using steroids - the body can only build so much muscle naturally, and even in the rare case that a guy trains hard and consistently enough to achieve his full genetic potential, his musclature still won't look overwhelming, at least not relative to his build. |

Totally agree. Muscleheads aren't my cuppa, but then I'm prob. not theirs, so it's all good .
Do they get muscly heads too? "
No muscles in the head only gristle |

That's one of the reasons they look odd: little bobble heads on giant necks. Really skinny people have it the other way around as they have big lollipop heads on stick bodies. |

never understood the appeal of the veiny bulging perma tanned greasy muscular men. it's ugly and obviously artificially achieved.
gimme a natural man with some yummy contours any day!
as for women body building?
up to them really, some men do enjoy the physically imposing amazonian type of woman.. but yeah do believe it's sad when woman buy into the whole toxic macho dogma of body image and aggression. |

It must be so much more difficult for women to get the look. We naturally have more fat deposited around our bodies to help with pregnancy.
I'm not an extremes sort of person. I like people to be passionate about something but with some balance to it. |

The OP asked for opinions on 'ripped women' and it seems the general opinion is that it is not a good, sexually attractive look. It also indirectly invites views and, as we all have differing preferences and views, the inevitable 'fat versus skinny' comments had to come out at some point!
For me ripped is not good but athletic and toned...oh yes please! |

out of competition they can actually put a bit of weight on....then they get obsessed when traning for a comp.
what they put their body through getting ready for a comp is horrendous, and during the comp they dehydrate themselves to make their veins pop...dangerously so, some end up hospitalised because of seizures....is it worth it?
i personally am not a fan of bodybuilder types. i can appreciate a nice fit body, of course |

I love a nice atletic body, to me it shows commitment and takes a lot f discipline to go training day in day out. Someone who does that is far more appealing to me than someone who has let themselves go and eats 10 packs of crisps a night and a family pack of Mars bars.
If you don't care about yourself, how can you care about someone else! |

So, in conclusion most of us fall somewhere in the middle on a Normal Distribution Curve neither preferring a ‘ripped’ and over-developed musclewoman or, at the other extreme, a ‘wobbly’ crisps and family pack Mars bar eating fat woman! The average, the normal and the athletic win the day then eh? |

Just because a woman has muscle definition dones't mean she's going to automatically look as vascular and striated as a bodybuilder - personally, I found the well toned, athletic physiques of Denise Lewis and Jessica Ennis to be incredibly sexy. |

I do find some muscly women attractive too, I think its when they start to loose their femininity that I dont like it, ripped but not massive is also good, im a sucker for a toned stomach |

There was one particular slow-mo shot of her I watched where she leapt over the hurdles with the camera facing her face on, there was something intoxicating about the way her abs rippled every time she left the ground, and that look of absolute focus in her eyes - its easy to overlook that shes beautiful facially too, those intense eyes look suprisingly sympathetic and affectionate during her interviews, backed up by her luvverly, vibrant smile. |

Its easier said than done - the lowest I've ever managed to get my bodyfat was down to about 7%, and though it was enough to see my abs they still lacked that etched in look so often sported by athletes and the like - further giving idea of just how much effort and determination it takes for them to get into that kind of condition. |

There are to classes of women bodybuilders.
1.Physique which is a muscular body good proportions, and muscle striations with prominent vascularlarity
2 figure or bikini which is a well balanced toned figour with no muscle striations and low vascular the two classes differ vastly.
Jodie marsh is considered a joke in the bodybuilding female world she came nowhere in the BNBA british championships which is drug tested !
Then went to America and entered the competed in the finals of the smallest bodybuilding federation in America, it didn't even have a qualify round which is un heard of for a national competition.

First time I ever saw her, her routine included a backflip where she removed her top in mid air, landed face down as gently as a leaf, and slowly looked up at the crowd with a sensual smile on her beautiful face, pretty hard to forget her after that |
