I’m an Arsenal fan and for me it is Dennis Bergkamp.
Thierry Henry seems to the usual answer and, no doubt, was an amazing player. But DB10 would just leave me open mouthed with some of the things he could do with a ball. That goal against Newcastle - mamma mia !!!!
So which is your club and who is your fave player to ever don the shirt ? |

You've given my answer: I'm an Arsenal fan too, and it's DB all day long for me as well.
Thierry was obviously amazing too, but the Bergkamp was an absolute genius. I also love that he came to Arsenal at a really difficult time for the club.
If we're doing favourite rather than best, then I can't ignore Ian Wright, who was about the only bright spot in a drab 90s team! |

"Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Absolutely lethal, oh what I wouldn't give to have him in his prime right now "
He was a great finisher. Quite an interesting choice though considering some of the players you have had. Cantona , Ronaldo etc
But that’s why I like this thread . Should get some diverse opinions. |

Ally McCoist. All time goal scorer as a pundit he sounds like he actually enjoys football unlike some of the other ones out there and seems like an all round happy, fun person. |

He scored blinders against lots of clubs. He once had a 1 2 3 in MOTD goal of the month. If correct - the only player to hold that accolade to date.
I also liked that he had a nasty side to him. |

Ok,I know it's going way back in time, but I remember seeing Celtics Jimmy Johnstone, take the ball up to the opponents penalty area ,and then bring it back to his keeper..just for fun...pure skill and entertainment. |

Luton Town...and Ricky Hill
"Give Ricky Hill the ball and he dribbles round them all"
He did 13yrs at Luton.
In the late 70's when me and my mates used to go and watch Luton at their training ground, Ricky Hill and a few others would come over to us, lift us over the fence and let us have a kick around with them. |

For my home team - Grimsby Town… I know I know
My favourite player was Nigel Batch. A goalie way back in the day who we affectionately called drop-a-lot
For my team of choice - Chelsea - always will be Gianluca Vialli |

I was too young to see Cantona unfortunately but he's one player I would've loved to have seen week to week. Ronaldo was a possibility but hated the way he left United the first time around. My second option would've been Vidic. Feel like he's so underrated now but was an absolute tank |

Slightly off topic but what did you think of Harry’s Kanes behaviour yesterday when he got touched in the face ? |

It was pathetic and utterly embarrassing. I think most Spurs fans would say the same. Brought shame on the shirt and I love him. But no need for that. |

There was a Mexican referee who got surrounded after a controversial decision. He kneed one of the players in the bollocks and got a 12 match ban for it !!! It’s, dare I say it, all over the news. |

To be fair to Kane, that's just the game. Hands to the face is a red card and had he not gone done, it's unlikely the ref/VAR would've given the red card. It's shit he had to do it, but I understand it. |

We were gutted for Grimsby in FA Cup - you absolutely hammered us in the 1st round so we wanted you to get to the final.

Andy Farrell - Burnley. Maybe not my favourite but definitely a true club man.
Before squad numbers he wore every number from 1-12 (going in goal when our keeper got sent off) and scored whilst wearing all but 1 |

I subscribe to Arsenal - Bergkamp. It was the reason I got interested in the premier league in the first place |

Oooh… when I started going down to Highbury we had an irrational love for “clodhoppers”… so block 17 in the clock end had a love for our own no.17… John Jensen!!!
So in honour of our curly haired ginger genius.. we all went to our last game of the season dressed up as Johnny… imagine 100 brightly coloured ginger people turning up 20 minutes before kickoff at Norwich
Classic… only to be told “he is not playing.. he’s on the bench!!!”

West Ham and has to be Bobby Moore. Pele knew his stuff and the little matter of lifting a World Cup....
_________
And when Moore passed away Pele paid a glowing tribute. “He was my friend as well as the greatest defender I ever played against,” Pele said after the West Ham captain's passing. “The world has lost one of its greatest football players and an honourable gentleman.” |

I'm not into football but 'support' Newcastle United because I was born in Newcastle.
Kevin Keegan would be my favourite player to put on a black and white striped jersey. His passion and love for that team is genuine. As a player and a manager, he boosted the moral of the club and the fans. They knew he was there for them and not just the money; looking at you Michael Owen. Yeah, King Kev for me. |

The both were in the movie " Escape to Victory". |

He will never manage Liverpool , not after being sacked by AV , Liverpool will never give their top job to a person who has been sacked by another club . |

As a Villa fan he is the worst manager that we have had for a long time and we have had some duds.
Just because he had a successful playing career it doesn’t automatically follow that he will be a top manager. He was an ego appointment by our CEO who was at Liverpool for a time and SG himself is tactically inept and not a good people manager. We are in a much stronger position without him. |
