"Cold!!! Why do you think they have the little racks to cool it in!!!
I always knew you were a wrong ’un."
Why do they have the racks if you aren't meant to have it cold?? |

"Why do they have the racks if you aren't meant to have it cold??
They only have the racks in places where hopes and dreams go to die. Where cold toast is appropriate."
You're all deluded. I can't take.this kind of barbaric-ness

The toast rack allows the toast to go crispy, you dont have to leave it till it's cold. I love cold, crispy toast with a generous amount of butter....just cant afford it now |

"Spread it on the toast as soon as it comes out the toaster, so it oozes into the bread
This man knows what he's doing. "
Grim.
I don't want butter seeping into the delicious toast and making it a claggy mess of disgusting of something that could have been delicious. |

This
But it makes it soggy "
That's an issue with your bread then.
Lidl malted bloomer is thick enough to take a good butter pounding and still stay firm. |

"Real butter on cool toast, so that it just sits on top rather than melting and making the toast soggy.
Countrylife, President, or something else? "
Countrylife or anchor, or whatever is on offer. |

"I genuinely misread this as
"Do you use a butler".
And is Carshalton still fulfilling his duties admirably?"

My dear RTG, he's doing a splendid job. He's a man of advancing years and keeping an êyê out for an under-butler and a new valet. |

"on cold or warm toast. I prefer it when it has cooled down so butter just melts but does not make toast too soggy. "

Hot. If I’m not burning my fingers, I don’t want it.
A shit ton of butter (the technical culinary measurement) so there’s a big pool of melted butter. Must be real, salted butter at room temperature. |

"I find real butter doesn't make toast soggy. Only hydrogenated spreads do that as they release the water when they melt.
"
Marginally perhaps but it still goes soggy if you slump it on very hot toast. I like to feel and hear the crunch on mine |
