Hey reader.
Spring is here and with it comes that feeling of new starts. Hope in the form of blossoming buds, joy in the lighter days. It's almost Easter which is always a good excuse to do nothing. I think hope is one of the most important things we can have. Hope in ourselves, in others. In things turning out okay.
So...
Good morning. What do you have hope for? It could be something happening this week? In general? You get the idea.

Good morning Meli, my hope for this week is a good week at work. There had been a lot of uncertainty with changes upsetting colleagues, so I hope this week can be easy for everyone.
My hope for the no too distant future is I finally get my hands on a certain someone that I'm crushing on

My hopes? I hope today is good news. I hope I continue rediscovering myself, I've kind of got lost in self doubt recently. And I hope those I care about are happier in days to come. And well. |

Some days I have all the hope that things will actually turn out ok, other days I have none. Today I'm in the middle so it's not all bad.
I hope I can give the people that depend on me a smile on their faces.
But today I'm just hoping my nose piercing won't hurt like a bitch.

I’m feeling quite similar with the weather change and the scenery all starting to come back to life
I’m off to haydock for a meeting this morning and I’m very hopeful it’ll lead to big fat juicy new contract

I'm actually feeling hopeful for lots of things at the moment which I'm very grateful for .
I came to work without a coat, in Scotland which could be the definition of optimism.

I’m hoping for good news at an appointment with my youngest this afternoon, I’m hoping he doesn’t find it too much to cope with and go into sensory overload as he normally does. But the sun is shining and an iced caramel frappe on the walk home for him will bring out his smile

Good afternoon Meli!
Love this thread, it's very you. As Idlewild once stated as an album title, hope is important.
My hopes are partly retrospective - I had a medical appointment this morning (nothing terribly serious) and it looks like my hope that things remain ok has been realised. So, yay for that.
I suppose my more general hopes are that I find a bit of a mojo again. I struggled after lockdown to get back into the world, and have been spending too much time alone. I've recently had covid for the first time and having to go back into total isolation was tough, and now that I have the anti-bodies for at least a short time (until the next varient turns up) my hope is that I can get out a bit more, have some human contact and intimacy (quite a lot of intimacy ideally) with lovely, fun relaxed people I feel comfortable with and take opportunities that I've not been attempting to grasp for a while.

Loving this warmer weather. Nice to see garden coming alive with plants. Got some flower and tomato seeds planted in greenhouse. Robin built a nest nearby and can hear blackbirds clucking in bushes. A good feeling. |

I have a date next week and I'm already feeling those little nervous butterflies. I think he might be, well I know he is, far better read than I am. Far more knowledgeable. So I'm hoping I don't just sit and giggle and blush. I have hope for my dignity and pride. |
