I should have known better, I thought we where going to have a discussion about hiding sexual preferences in modern sociaty and the freedoms that are lacking for career advancement due to sexual prefernce and if those preferences hinder your career.  |

I though most people knew about the rumours. Don't care to be fair, her life. Don't like her politics, but her sex life shouldn't be of interest to most. |

1. Why is anything non heterosexual such a shock ? Especially here.
2. Why do people think its okay to make out that something 'dirty' is going on?
3. Why do some of the men here imagine for one moment that they have to share their aversions to having sex with Nicola Sturgeon ? Does that make them macho ? Does it mean they have sex with beautiful people ? or maybe they are not getting any at all.... that seems most likely. |

There will always be rabid fans of any person/subject that bare their teeth whenever the object of their affection is mentioned negatively, that's weird too (see JKR for instance).
Insulting someone's appearance though is pretty pathetic, when it comes to politicians in particular there are plenty of other things to criticise them for. |

I don't get that myself. And women always seem to get the worst of it. Attack her policies not her perceived attractiveness or unattractiveness. |
