Not a great fan of them

They make me feel sluggish

My fave cooked brekkie is scrambled egg, a good cumberland sausage and toasted sourdough on the side

East London

Tinned tomatoes, poached eggs, one low fat sausage and a slice of wholewheat toast, real butter.

I'm so hungry

Glasgow / London

The finest pork sausages, with a smidgeon of bacon chopped through them.

Smoked middle bacon, home-cured with a black pepper and Maldon salt rub.

A couple of home-made potato scones, from the previous night’s mashed potatoes.

Stornaway black pudding - just a slice.

Chestnut mushrooms, slow-fried in butter and garlic with a sprinkling of fresh thyme.

Heinz baked beans. No point making your own when those are so good, but they do need a dash of Lea & Perrins.

Brown sauce on the side. Daddies brand, for preference.

A grilled tomato. Just the one, halved, salted and grilled.

A poached egg. Yes, I said poached. Fight me.

Has to be a pot of tea, Cookie’s right.

Tea goes with a full English (or a full Scottish), not coffee. And one cup isn’t enough. So you need a pot.

I go by the rule of 2. Sausages, bacon rashers, toast, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and beans
