Chelmsford |
Tom has just driven through Chelmsford, which deservedly has city status. He drove next to miles of cycling lane and never saw one pushbike. Now either it's a total waste of money or Essex folk prefer different modes of transport |

The goverment are trying to encrourage more people to cycle to work. Keeping people healthier and fitter, making the planet greener. There was a huge influx of people into cycling after 2012 olympics as GB did so well. I guess one way to encourage people would be to make it safer around cities. However most of the cyclists that do it reglarly stay out of the cities and thats why no one uses them. |
