Really couldn't care less - put in a skip?
Wanted to give it to medical science but thats not as easy as I thought. They might reject it for lots of reasons or only use bits of you so someone will still have to deal with the rest anyway. |

"The cheapest way possible. I’ll be dead, I’m not going to know either way. "
I think leaving your body to science is the cheapest method, don't know if I would fancy it for my children though, don't know how they would react to that. |

I looked into that as well. The science lot are really fussy about what they will accept.
You'd think they would be grateful for what they can get. |

your wildest dreams, |
I want my family to choose what helps them best.
If I had to choose they do know my wishes.
A natural woodland burial, but if they choose to have me cremated, I’d like my ashes treating so that I can be used to plant a tree afterwards |

I don't care.
Whatever the people that care, whom I leave behind want to do with me.
It is those that will know what they want and need for the closure of the grieving process,
Funerals are for the living, not the dead. |

I think if you told her what you wanted, it would be easier for her when she has to sort things out. |

It's great that people have thought about this part of the human life cycle so much.
It's one thing we can be sure that will happen to us and that's why we should live in the moment as much as we can.
I did want to be left to medical science ( only to avoid funeral costs ) but it's not as easy as people think
Then I thought I'll get left out in a mountain top forest to decay naturally but that's pretty expensive too.
So ..... I paid a cremation firm already. I'm being cremated with NO service.
I've told everyone that if they want a gathering they can order one or do some reflecting individually.
I'm pretty relaxed about it, now it's all done and dusted.

I'm not fussed.. Once I'm gone, I'm gone. But I know my mum is slowly dying of kidney failure (her choice to not get treated). I'd like to have her ashes go into a gem my daughter can take. They've been so close for years |

Cremated, then the ashes burnt again in a wooden boat on the ocean to finally rest with the fishes.
Ideally it would have been a viking boat burial but apparently that's not allowed unless in international waters. |

They have to be able to teach with it (so needs to have various key features to permit that, no good if you're missing bits, for example) and it has to be safe, so no bloodborne diseases and various other things.
Medical students generally use the same body for a series of dissections over many weeks, looking at the different organ systems, so they need their corpse to have all of those systems pretty much intact. |

My mum called me from hospital the week before she died to tell me how she wanted her funeral. She'd told me quite regularly for years anyway.
My dad has given me the practical details such as where his will is etc. He's left the actual funeral to me which is fine. I know he wants one and I'll just do what I think is right after consultation with my brothers. I already have a rough plan |

My Grandad left a handwritten set of funeral instructions in an envelope, along with some leaflets for suggested catering
Unfortunately we couldn't fulfill all his wishes, as he had to have a COVID era 20min service with a small number of people and no wake. |

We had to do a little creative thinking for one of my mum's very specific wishes regarding the wake. We got round it quite nattily |

Quite, what I meant was it's difficult here and expensive to organise.
That being said grandma might appreciate that. For mine, think she might have fancied the chance to run anywhere since it had been years, even if it was in a fox's mouth! She didn't care for shopping though, so that'd be a downer! |

It's fairly easy to leave your body to medical science (they also pay for what's not used to be buried). I signed the paperwork for my exes mum as a non family member years ago

Oh really? When I looked it said they give bits not used back to family. Guess it must depend where you are? Perhaps I should look into it again.
I may request going to a plastic surgeon and students. Might be quite nice to have a facelift and look better dead than alive |

I'll be cremated.
I'll find out if my ashes can be buried with my mum, dad and twin sister. I think we just scattered them into a hole in the ground under a tree at the crematorium.
If not, my children can do what they want with them.
I don't want a gravestone that people feel obliged to visit.
We have plaques on a bench in my siblings garden for my parents and sister.
Mine can go next to hers if it's still around when I go.

It’s not. There’s no legal requirement to have a funeral, only that the body is disposed of appropriately. So, as long as Cal tells the authorities (and digs a deep enough hole), that’s you sorted |

There was a big thing about your ashes being turned into a diamond
So I suggested to Katie that if I went before her
I’d like that to be done with my ashes
And then perhaps she could have it made into a clitty stud
That way I’d be in a very nice warm place!!!!

In an ideal world, I would get cremated and have diamonds made from my ashes.
But I am skint and probably wouldn't have anyone who would want them.
So its cremation and throw away the ashes for me |
