Reports that 'I Stand with Trump'T shirts are flying off the shelves.
This follows reports that the Donald may face arrest for alleged payments to Stormy Daniels who bizarrely has launched similar T shirts of her own.
Who will win the battle of the T Shirts? Which one would you buy?
It's all over the news.. |

Saw a piece on front of a newspaper in a shop this morning.
Picture of Stormy Daniels and underneath a comment from her,
I’m not scared of Trump, I’ve seen him naked, nothing can be scarier than that.
Made me chuckle. |

Tom is no legal expert and certainly not in USA law. But could that Stormy Tshirt slogan prejudice the case and the case thrown out?

Certainly not buying anything that would support him. With luck, he'll have charges that prevent him ever being of increased harm to anyone else.
Take pity on the court officials who have to take the mugshot next week, with his dirty anus-like mouth puckered with his spittle slime, ready to spew forth his verbal shite. |

Don't really understand people like Trump. Inherited a wealth big enough he could have enjoyed it being the playboy he was in his earlier years and fucked all the beautiful women he wanted.
Instead gets involved in politics and controversies like this and could end up in jail. |

The MAGA hat/ bumper stickers and Trump flags on lawns show that many people will also buy a Trump t-shirt. |

Nope… in fact trump posting a picture of himself with a baseball bat, and a pic of the prosecutor is more likely to be seen as imitation…. |

Erm… you could start with breaking campaign rules on spending, and business fraud in trying to bill the payments made through his company expenses…
P.s…. His lawyer, Michael Cohen, was charged with the same thing… convicted and spent time in prison! The only reason why trump wasn’t charged at the time was the convention that you don’t charge a sitting president…. Plus trump was known as ‘individual 1’ in the Cohen case….. where trump ..sorry, individual 1… is called an “unindited co conspirator”
But then…. What does Tom know? |

I was in one of my shops on Tuesday and a local came in proudly wearing a Trump 2024 "Take America Back" T shirt.
Are you American?.....No
Do you normally live in America?.....Another No
He left my shop before I could ask if he was quite right in the head.

Unless it was from a British perspective? We let them win the war of independence… they’ve had 250 ish years to sort themselves out… but they’re letting nobheads run the country.. with a few notable exceptions…so they’ve had their chance and now we should take America back as part of the UK and teach them how to spell again… and play cricket!! |

After Boris and Brexit, I really don't think the UK has too much room to lecture the US about populist ignorance and stupidity.

Weirdly, those who refer to 'Dems failures' are usually as unable to list them specifically as they are to list GOP successes.

Tom is no expert in this field but it looks like Trumpy paid a hundred thousand dollars as hush money to a porn star. She is selling TShirts. Is that breach of contract in America?
More to this story than meets the eye. Tom is not a big fan of America after watching Louis Theroux but are there dark forces at work here...

Trumps arrest was a long time coming, i was surprised how it didn’t derail his presidency when it first came to light.
But boy is it going to inflame tensions in the US, and as much as the American left are trying to say everything’s ok, there’s a massive right wing movement there which is coming as a back-lash, and I think Trump was the first warning shots across the bow of the left. |

I think maybe we are slightly at cross purposes.
What I was trying to get across was that the actions of the leader of the world’s largest democracy, have an affect , all around the world.
If the President of Andora is an unstable lunatic it doesn’t really have any implications beyond that country.
If the President of USA is an unstable lunatic it has massive ramifications for the world.
Therefore , any President of USA is of interest |

Name one thing we can not provide for our general population. What do you export here again ? lol your major export to here was cars... I don't know if you aware the quality of range rovers here are utterly shit."
It's a bit weird that your instinctive view of 'sphere of influence' revolves around war. It actually has much more to do with trade and secure access to the kinds of raw materials and fuels plus markets for products required to sustain an economy based on that trade.
Still, if the US feels it can simply lock itself within its own borders and trade only internally then it's free to do so - I'm sure China will love filling the void left in the Pacific... good luck with that. |

"So tell me why we can't be a isolationist country again ? We can survive on our own. European influence has always been a thorn in our side.
Many reasons, not least of which is the need for the US to maintain its sphere of influence in order to maintain security of trade and supplies - particular so given in-roads being made by China in areas the US has assumed to be unassailably it's own. do we really need to have a sphere of influence. It's easier to trade with other countries than to go to war with them. Then again we are self efficient . We have here what we need. Do we not ? Name one thing we can not provide for our general population. What do you export here again ? lol your major export to here was cars... To be fair, we did send you Adele to do her bit in Vegas. Sorry about that.
We're not all America haters. We love it there, have been many times to visit my seemingly countless relatives. I'm not a political person by any means, and neither are (most) of my family, but my general impression is that Trump was seen as a little too much, Biden nowhere near enough.

" again what does the UK offer that we can not provide? Sometimes I feel like the UK is a bastard child. There is nothing we cant provide for ourselves. Not bragging I am being reality. I see on the forums. Why our healthcare is not free. Duh.. I would rather see the billions sent overseas for the US to protect others being spent on people here. Like you all do. |

Are you saying that you want all the American companies that have set themselves up all around the world, doing trade in many countries around the world, to pack up and come home.
If that is what you are saying you may find those companies have other ideas.

"Seriously ... If we went total isolationist policy and the world was pissed off about it. Who is going to invade and make changes.. no one."
It’s not the world that would be pissed off, it’s all the major US companies who rely on exporting to the rest of the world for their profits that would be pissed off.
You are absolutely right, the UK produces nothing that the US needs to buy.
What the UK has that US companies want are customers to sell their products too. |

"Reports that 'I Stand with Trump'T shirts are flying off the shelves.
This follows reports that the Donald may face arrest for alleged payments to Stormy Daniels who bizarrely has launched similar T shirts of her own.
Who will win the battle of the T Shirts? Which one would you buy?
It's all over the news.."
Are the Trump T Shirts made in China like the hats were.....

The UK is full of people who like to lecture others on how they should live their lives and run their countries.
The recent gun thread would be a classic example of this.
I’m not a fan of telling others what their internal politics should be. (Although obviously hearing of deaths by fire arms saddens me)
I only really get interested when a countries policies ( any country) have wider ramifications to the world, |

There certainly isn't anything that the US imports that it can't manufacture themselves.......however they can't manufacture it cheaply enough compared to the likes of China, Vietnam, and India.
As we all are, the US is dependent on goods made in the Far East, and soon in the Indian sub continent.
The world relies on China and several other nations to produce consumer goods that are affordable because of highly competitive labour costs. |

"It's strange. We speak the same language. Yet world's apart."
Not really.
There's a reason that the North American continent predominantly speaks English, French and Spanish.
But the Canadians have more in common with the French in terms of attitude to life.

"It's strange. We speak the same language. Yet world's apart."
About time the whole world spoke English as their primary tongue.
Having different languages is a waste of time and effort. Might be of cultural value but times move on.
Why do immigrants want to come here? Because we speak the language which will help them the most. Some of them want to go to the USA ultimately, or Canada or the Antipodes. |
