Afternoon,
Slightly difficult topic for me to post about.. recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Doing the diet and exercise stuff and started on Metformin.
My libido seems to have taken a bit of a nosedive since starting the medication, anyone else had this issue - if so any recommendations?

It is a bit yeah.. however I knew I had to lose weight so it’s given me extra motivation for that.. the weekly shop now lasts twice as long (looking at Kcals and sugar etc) lol.

Got diagnosed with Type 2 just before the first lockdown.....bit of a bugger as picked up a new puppy the day before lockdown, lack of socialising etc).
Did much the same, weight loss, change of diet, Metformin etc., with the same results. All good now  |

Im type 2 and cannot take metformin so on 2 different tablets, it's not the suger so much its carbs you have to watch for as well,ive under active thyroid so losing weight is difficult ,I get terribly thirsty all time and drink loads of water . |

I could never take metformin instant Tom tits even on slow release struggled with co trolley for years am now on background insulin and I'm getting there libido is still sometimes a problem though. Ed meds work for getting an erection but sometimes struggle to get in the mood. |

I also have under active thyroid... how long have you been t2 and has the meds and stuff had any lasting effects? X |
