Barely black stockings tend to make legs look like they have big muscles rather than rounded. Not a big fan

I would only get barely black in the past if there was no black ones on the shelf in John Lewis or M&S etc...

It depends on the look you want and your skin tone. As I am dark barely black can sometimes look better than wearing black.

this thread reminds me of an episode of Father ted, when they are talking about Priest Socks...

Ew ew! Some of the girls I went to school with wore them. With Jesus sandals amongst other things. So hideous and made them look like old ladies.

I love various shades of hosiery on women. Except white. Like a woman in sheer tights too as well as stockings. And vintage nylons are wow.
