It's not the lowest form of wit but the people who describe themselves as sarcastic makes me cringe. They lean into it too much and try to make it their whole personality which generally makes them a chore to be around

Well without proper context and a sense of the person to bounce it off it's not quite the same game.

Without sarcasm, I'd say that calling something you don't get as the lowest form of anything always seems like a bitter response. But people are people.
