Crossing borders

If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labour.

If you cross the Afghanistan border AT ALL you'll get shot.

Two Americans just crossed the Iranian border and got 8 years jail.

If you cross the UK border illegally you get a job, driver's licence, food stamps, a place to live, healthcare, housing and child benefit, education and a tax free business for 7 years if you start one.

No wonder we are a country in debt.

I don't think its as straight forward as that !

Media loves to paint such pictures, but let's face it, do you want a North Korean state or Iranian dictatorship style country ?

Ill give you one thing....you love the controversial subjects lol

Saw it on FB tbh. It's sensationlist sure, but there is a hint of truth in it.

There's not a word of truth in it.

How, for example, can you have a driving licence if you're an illegal immigrant?

What should be addressed is the nonsense of 'sheds with beds' where what used to be garages at the bottom of the garden are converted into bedrooms, often with no power or sanitation, to lodge illegals who work in the businesses of those who own the sheds.

The fact the fine for employing illegal immigrants if £10,000 per person employed - and it still happens - shows how much money there is to be made in this sordid trade.

False papers? It is known that many immigrants here are driving without licences ergo no insurance either. The licence issue was brought in to encourage them to drive legally, but I think a prison sentence would be more appropriate and in line with what would happen to us locals if we did it.

We're in absolute agreement on that. I wouldn't stop at a fine though. A prison sentence should be the minimum for such people (which effectively shuts down that business).

It's also a fact that numerous UK born people drive without licences, no insurance and false docs. Everyone is treated the same. I know that for a fact not from media hype.

I don't know of a single Brit who has been given a driving licence for driving illegally in place of a fine and/or jail time.

A driving licence based on false papers isn't a driving licence. It's a worthless bit of paper.

The OP reads

"..........

If you cross the UK border illegally you get a job, driver's licence, food stamps, a place to live, healthcare, housing and child benefit, education and a tax free business for 7 years if you start one.

.............."

NB the 'you get' bit. Not 'it's possible to illegally acquire'

You get.

The rest is nonsense too but it suits certain political _iewpoints.

Surely nobody thinks it’s meant to be taken literally, its just intended as an abstract perspective intended to stimulate debate about a subject that does have some genuine parallels to tone of the piece….!.

For "us locals" neither driving without insurance nor driving without a licence are punishable with a jail sentence, The maximum punishment being a fine, points and ban. Though driving when a licence has been revoked is punishable with a maximum sentence of 6 months. But let's not worry about facts

haha yes perhaps so,,, but do you reckon the people who are thick enough to totally believe it, would bother reading it in the first place eh!

and if they do..... can you easily spot them because they move their lips as they read....

Sooo.. driving without a licence, ins etc is NOT punishable with a jail sentence, but driving without a licence, ins etc when you've lost your licence IS punishable with a jail sentence.

If you've had your licence revoked you ARE driving without a licence, ins etc.

Torquay

I sense a little bit of deja vu here....

Indoctrination of a population in order to have them believe a certain group within the population are a cultural threat, a criminal threat, and a financial threat to the majority of the population....

Stoking up enough fear and hatred within the population so that they closed their eyes to the horrors that followed....

Ring any bells?

Eh ? Neither do I, but I know plenty who drive with no documents and persistent offenders are disqualified and if they still drive they do sometimes get jail sentences. I know as I've dealt with them

Oh do me a favour. Miliband couldn't win a general election if he was the only fookin candidate. Clegg has destroyed his party and they'll be lucky to keep their deposits in the seats they fight for, their vote will be split among UKIP and the Conservatives.

May 7, 2015, Cameron's date with destiny. Miliband's date for his Job Seeker's inter_iew.

Here's another good one doing the rounds on FB...

Can you believe it?

My income Tax return form has been sent back to me because in response to question 4."Do you have anyone dependent on you?" I replied: 2.1 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crack heads, 4.4 million Jeremy Kyle scroungers, 900.000 criminals in over 85 prisons, plus 650 idiots in Parliament and the whole of the European commission.

They said this was not an acceptable answer!

So who the hell did I miss out????

"If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labour.

No wonder we are a country in debt."
