Off the top of my head it’s was probably a tent I bought a few years ago when we used to go family camping for our summer holidays.
It was massive!
In total I think it came to about £1300 |

"An hours flying in a Spitfire. Sorry, not sorry…
Did it feel and sound as good as I imagine? I’m imagining pretty chuffing fantastic!"
Felt great, like coming home for me, especially the aerobatics. Outside they sound amazing. Inside, and through the electronic comms system, they sound like a scrapyard falling over! |

Hope you’re in a better place now |

Used equipment to set myself up as a freelance after being made redundant.
Hastily arranged £20k loan from the bank and bank of mom & dad, 2 days of stress, 2 trips to London to sell off the excess kit and by then end of the week loans were paid back, had some cash left over and also the equipment I needed for work.
The joys of right place, right time, right knowledge set me up for a few years |

Women, and I don't even own them.
All de money gorn.. ..in de hairy bank!(as the soca song goes)
My multitudinous hobby stuff has either been gifted to me (Clutter conscious widows can't wait to get rid of the old man's junk)or bought cheaply at auctions, charity shops, boot sales and rallies. If I can't afford I don't buy.
My house stays at less than 18C as well, to help with the more and more precarious cashflow. |

Other than boring household appliances... A piece of artwork by a local artist. But that was less than 200 quid, I've never really bought expensive things, can't justify the money. Would rather get a bargain! |

When I was in my late teens a mate and I used to go to a fitness club in Henley above a hair salon. It was nothing special and not expensive. One day I'd forgotten my t shirt so decided to get one from the local sports shop. I picked on out and the assistant turned round and said (down his nose) is this suitable for sir, its not too expensive is it? Bloody cheek. so I brought it anyway. It cost £25 when back in the day I was earning £50 per week! (1982 ish) |

"A boat was the last major purchase.
I'd forgotten about the boat, but that wasn't a 'just for me' thing. Bloody money pit that thing was though...." Lol I help pay for it. |

A slate-bed pool table that is also a solid oak dining table, bought from Home Leisure Direct when we moved into this house and were lucky enough to have the space for it.
Several thousand quid and a bit frivoulous, but plays better than any pub or club table I've ever played on and I'm more than happy with it, in spite of the cost. |
