You can't is the simple answer

Delete the contacts etc from the account

Change the password to something really horrid and complicated so not easily guessed

Then just walk away from the account.

Depending on what you are using to access the account. Sign out of Skype

Then sign in again with the new account details and use that as the default ones

Yeah thats what I found but I thought it was bit crap you cant delete it.
