Both of us ride all year round, BUT as we live on a hill, with a main road at the T Junction, they don't go out in the ice or snow. The trick for longer journeys is the right clothing! these days electrikery can be a major help, but so far only used electrically heated gloves myself. |

We're both all year riders, more so Mr as he uses it to commute if he's working away.
A dirty pic off me gets him home fast and I'm sure it takes his mind off the cold!

Both all year round bikers. Heated grips, cycling trousers & thermals under our kit. When its really cold, we us a good old fashioned hot water bottle tucked inside our jackets... LOL We draw the line at snow and ice though, then its time to drive the block of flats on wheels. |

I find thermals and a good pair of gloves with lots of thin layers, biked most of last year throughout the winter but not in the snow or ice, haven't been out on it much this winter yet though, due to it been a new bike and I don't want to get it ruined with the salt, but pussy I know but there you are |

Bought a pair of swedish motorbike mittens yesterday, and wore them with glove liners for 80 miles yesterday and same again this morning. Fingers were as warm as toast after the ride, even though I used to be frozen on my 5 mile normal commute in winter gloves. Love them, BUT, they are not armoured so trading a bit of safety for comfort. |

Yep, I try and ride all year round and have even been caught in a blizzard once
I keep warm by wearing a builders fluorescent jacket over leather jacket as I find them the warmest and most waterproof jackets going
Trousers I have some JTS over trousers which are great at keeping legs warm and used to have heated gloves, but now just the "lobster" type gloves And every time I stop, rest gloves on engine to get heat in them |

I used to ride all year round and grew a beard (advise from a Hell's Angel) to stop the cramp in my chin.
As I lived at the top of a hill (cul de sac) at the time, when it was deep snow the Z750 stopped at the bottom of the road. Could get up but the return journey was much more treacherous.
Did dispatch riding as well through the winter months and wore a pair of tights under my leathers |

Til I bought a car 2 years ago I rode every day no matter what the weather. No other choice really as I live in the sticks... I wore my diving undersuit (like a sleeping bag with arms and legs) under my old leathers, expensive winter gloves and a neck tube (vital!).
Never dropped the bike even in snow which is a good job as she's an old thou and chuffing heavy... |
