Have you ever (who’s near)
Jump to: Newest in thread
Whilst you’re out on the road, have you ever randomly checked who’s near and realised you’re but a few minutes from a hotlisted profile you regularly check on but never imagine you’d encounter IRL.
I just have and I was so giddy I thought I’d create a pointless thread about it!
You’re welcome |

No.
The who's near you function is something we never switch on anymore as people assume that because someone is near and online that they're obviously looking for a shag at that exact moment.
People see that your close and completely forget to read your profile and pay attention to all the Important details it contains.
Proximity bears no relation to interest and attraction.

Don’t just leave it there, OP!! Did you contact the lucky person/people? Did it go well? Were they everything you ever hoped and more? |

"I sometimes see who’s near me. And it’s always at least 15 guys within a mile. gangbang "
Exactly, and people complain
You could literally organise one during your lunch break |

They don’t. Mine says “who’s near is turned off”. Still shows the miles away thing but it stays at your postcode location. Mine stays the same wherever I am. |

Mental note not to go to Manchester for lunch tomorrow |

Not everyone has it on. It will still show distance by the postcode on a profile but the "who's near" is something different. |

"We've turned our who's near off to avoid that!
240 miles away it's not off "
That's the location. And it's not our actual location. Our "who's near" is off.

Yep.
Ours is off and we don't use an exact postcode either.
It's called 'privacy'.

No, you’re misunderstanding what OP is talking about…
the “who’s near” function uses your devices gps to assess your location at any given time and then compares that to others who have it turned on, down to an accuracy of 1/4 mile.
You are thinking of the Distance measurement on a profile, which is purely based on the postcode that profile has set as their location |

Of course I sent them a mail, more in hope than expectation. It’s been read but they’re so far out of my league we may as well be playing different sports! |

Mine is always turned off. I only turn it on the very odd time and once got an immediate message from a couple telling me to come to their hotel room.
They obviously hadn't read the profile so I declined.
I've had a few messages in the past from people claiming to be within a mile or so even when mine was turned off and I don't live anywhere near Belfast |

Many times. I had one stunning couple walk into the coffee shop I was in in Birmingham 3 weeks ago. Obviously I didn’t say anything but it was nice to see them as being “within a qtr mile”and that they looked as good as their profile. |
