Just saw on a reply to a thread from admin that 106,000 people logged onto fab yesterday and only 915 posted in the forums!
Personally for me the forums are an essential part of my fab experience. Guaranteed something on here gives me a proper belly laugh every day.
What do you lot think? Why don't more use the forums? Would you still be on fab as much if the forums didn't exist? Can you remember your best/worst/first forum moment?? X |

I think most just go into chat and w.... I've not used the forums much as I didn't really understand them at first but I'm living them now. Mist people just think about the Sec I think and don't realise how much fun the social side is too  xxx |

i cant keep up with the chat rooms - he said well just pm the person in there - i said i will just message them - dont see the difference myself - forums i can handle |

Seriously though, it is an acquired taste. I used to have a quick look and maybe read a couple of threads a week. It's not until you get involved with the banter that you get hooked. After all a very high percentage of the topics are complete bollocks  |

i think they are just interested in meeting people.

Since I joined swinging websites, I've always preferred forums over chat.
The first site I joined was smaller and everyone knew everyone, so the forums were a good way to out those you didn't want to meet, and get to know everyone else. |

I prefer the forums as I can't get the hang of the chatrooms. When there's only a few people in there it's fine, but as it fills up I just can't keep up. |

Can remember my worse post as that was the other day but having said that I was moved to tears by some of the replies sticking up for me so thanks guys and girls. X

I recomended this site to a friend of ours, he joined as a single bloke, had a look around, had a meet or two, met someone from here and they are now a couple.
They use the site.regularly and it's features, so I asked if they had been on the forums yet.
He said 'yes, it's full of twats!' 
Horses for courses I suppose.
I come on here for the banter and a laugh, as long as you don't take the forums seriously it's not a bad place to hang out |

Never used to used the forums till a couple of months ago. I only ever used the chat rooms BUT my laptop broke and left me with just my mobile to use, so here am and its flipping addictive  |

Enjoy the banter but don't like it when people post a question that's very important to them but has been asked lots in the past and they get rude and nasty remarks. No wonder they don't come back. |

I really enjoy the banter and when people post about "how to get my wife into swinging" when they already have a single profile, they deserve everything they get.
A couple who had been on the site 6 days asked for advice and got slated of some saddo's.
To these people this was an inportant question, to someone who spends their life on here it's old news.
Just read it and move on, no need to be a cunt. |

If Admin closed the forums I wouldn't log into the site at all. I browse the profiles when the forum is quiet and seldom log into chat. This site would lose it's appeal if it didn't have the forums, for me it would anyway. |

I post now and then, not very often mind!
But I enjoy the forums, normally they are full of harmless banter, good advice and from time to time some much needed support!
The things I don't like about the forums are. The bullying that sometimes happens, and the repeat threads, you know the ones where someone has posted the same subject in every room!!

I always thought that most of the forum regulars met up on a regular basis for fun, and that you all knew each other, I was scared witless posting my first post in a thread and even worse when I started the thread ....... now ..... well .......... I contribute now and then ..... lol  |

A few of us have become scared to write comments that become totally misconstrued taken totally out of context and not seen in the humorous way they were meant.. I guess half those on line and not posting are banned from the forums  |

Wow , half of 106,000 means a whole load of people banned, I don't think there is enough time in the world for Admin or mods to ban that many
Either way, for anyone who is bothered about any bans you have had can you do what the forum rules ask and direct them to Admin from the CONTACT button please, as this threads seems to be changing tac now. |

I may occasionally saunter onto the forums to see what's going on...got flamed (deservedly in some cases, maybe not others) on some of my early posts, but fortunately I'm thick-skinned as well as thick so I just carried on regardless...like Minxie I originally thought all these people bantering away must know each other in real life, but eventually I realised that wasn't the case.
I generally post to make people laugh, even if it's a serious subject but I agree with an earlier poster who mentioned newbies getting abuse for posting oft repeated questions - I usually try to point them in the direction of the search facility but also give an answer to their OP - and I have in the past posted when I think comments are bullying as that's something I detest.
I had lots of PMs and supportive posts when I went into hospital for my hip replacement and some of the threads really show the sense of community there is online - it does actually choke me up sometimes (not a breath play comment )
I only go in chat when forumites invade Canada - I struggle to keep up when there's 30 odd in the room, couldn't manage any of the rooms with loads in!
In short, the forums have kept me (relatively) sane whilst I've been off work badly with this fecking arthritis - hoping to be back at work next month but not sure how I'll manage only popping on at lunch and break time! |

Despite how long I have used fab I didn't know about the forums until around nov of last year. I'm always in the forums now I enjoy the posts and have made some friends. I don't feel lonely while readin the posts x |

Im a bit of a lurker and it took a while to join in
worst forum moment was on an early post i did about smoking affecting hard ons...boy are there some touchy smokers! It did get a bit personal (towards me) so i dont do contraversy now.
i like the more serious and informative debates on sexuality but the best from the forum is getting a couple of intelligent meets |

I know a lot of people I have told about the forums just don't understand why people post on threads about things not related to sex. One person that I did persuade onto the forum has left as they found it was taking up too much time.
I didn't know about or understand the forum for a long time. Someone directed me to the fantasies and one day when I couldn't find a fantasy to tickle my fancy I looked on the other boards. I lurked for months and then got riled reading a thread and had to join in. |

I've never lurked, my OH opened up the profile and we wrote the text, put pics on and then I searched out the forums. I can't really remember a worst moment |
