I'm torn between L. casei immunitas, bifidus digestivum, and bifidus regularis. I'm losing sleep over this, at the minute I'm drinking all of them just to make sure. If I don't have enough friendly bacteria then something real bad will happen, not sure what, but it'll be bad I'm sure. |

Acidophilus is a naturally occuring chemical reaction in the human intestines, for those that don't naturally produce enough Acidophilus in their body, and it's a common occurance that effects millions, then a replacement is an absolute neccesity.
So not crap you don't need.... |

So, what happens to all the millions (even billions) of people who don't have it yet don't take a replacement? |

I don't buy any if this rubbish, thinks its just sales and marketing gimmicks by companies to encourage people to buy more of their products. If people eat a healthy diet, this rubbish really isn't necessary and besides, they will upset the normal balance of chemicals in the body |

If you an in-patient in a hospital because of a Salmonella infection you will automatically be given Acidophilus in some form as part of your treatment, children with severe diarrhea and cancer in-patients are also often given Acidophilus to boost their natural production.
I'm not talking about the advertising of Pro Biotic supplemnets here, I'm talking about the medical need to replace it in many people. |

As I said in my first post, there are far cheaper alternatives to the commercially expensive yoghurts and drinks... |
